Okay, so I went and saw Dr Maguire today. We had a chat and we decided that the best thing for me to do right now is to try a birth control pill and see how that goes. After that, if that doesn't work, he said we might have to start inserting things, like IUDs and stuff like that.

I'm also being put on naprosyn. My neurologist doesn't want me on regular pain killers, but trust me. I NEED them. When I'm awake till four in the morning because of the pain and I can't get anything done during the day because of the tired AND the pain - it's time for some intervention.

I was also a super brave girl and had a blood test (to check my iron levels which I BET you will be low) and I didn't even freak out. I sang a little song and I was fine. The lovely lady that takes the tests at my clinic always loves it when I sing, she always says, "Oh, I want you to keep singing!" Isn't that sweet?

I kept myself busy this morning! I did the following:

- Went to the library and got out books on Australian ocean life, calligraphy and one about endometriosis. I need to top up my knowledge on this disease. Knowledge is power.

- Got my prescriptions filled.

- Went to coles to get a bag to carry my books in. The bag was no help, I kept nearly falling over anyway.

- Went to newsagent, promptly forgot to buy credit for my phone, bought paper and ink cartridges for calligraphy pen instead. Dork.

- Had a look at shoes. Oh, my GOD, shoes. I would have bought these gorgeous designer shoes that were on sale for 45 dollars, but I can't really justify buying myself yet ANOTHER pair of backless clogs. They are super swanky and gorgeous but seriously - I have more clogs than I could throw a stick at. If I buy shoes these days, it has to be a style I don't have. I seriously want the slight platform high heels, with the thicker heel than stilleto. In leopard print!! I loooove leopard print!

- Had a look at windows.

- Went into Toyworld to drool over Cluedo. I want to play it, I never have before. But I want Senet more.

- Got a bite to eat at the local bakery.

So it was a bit of a long haul home. I nearly broke my damn arms with these heavy books. Those suckers weighed a God-damned tonne! Now the muscles in my shoulders and back are all stretched out, you know, sore but that "I've been busy doing shit" sore. My guts aren't hurting yet, but they probably will.

Luck of luck, my CRS appointment was cancelled. Whee! I was going to ask for it to be postponed anyway cause I felt like shite this morning and I just *knew* that I'd need a nap after the big walk home. I was right - I'm exhausted, thoroughly exhausted.

So! I'm going to lie down, curl up around one of the books I borrowed from the library, and chill. Then probably nap cause I didn't get much sleep last night.

I'm glad you went and saw your doc hun *hug* I'm actually considering getting an IUD, because I'm hopeless (well, can be) at remembering to take my pill, and a friend just got one. You can get a plastic one now, that's coated in a very slow release hormone, instead of the yucky copper one, which really made me go "oohh, really?" and it costs WAY less than constantly getting a pill script filled. I'm also glad you're going to try the pill :) maybe that will make a difference for you.

Naprosyn? As in the stuff that's in Naprogesic? You haven't already tried that?

I know Naprogesic is bliss on regular menstrual cramps, because it targets the molecules that actually cause the cramps. Hope it's the same mechanism for endo pain, cuz if it is they should help a bit.

And the mention of IUDs and such reminded me that I must go to the doctor and ask to switch to the NuvaRing because the pill sucks.

Making new styles and integrating them into fonts. :) And calligraphy-to-font making in general! I borrowed a book on how to do medieval calligraphy. I have to practice my standard strokes again, I've been very naughty and let my strokes get lazy.

If you want some specific alphabets done, I can help.

Have a look at some of my works (http://www.blaquiere.id.au/search/node/calligraphy).

Hey, that's awesome! Nice stuff! You do the carolingian well! Here's some of my stuff. Keep in mind it's about five or six years old - I've improved!

Image Real crap practice sheet.

Again, practice. Trying different styles.

My very first attempt at flourished italics!

Again, the first ever session of flourished italics.

A logo I made for a website, but I wasn't happy with the 's' and had to fix it later in photoshop.

awsome!
I really want to get practice doing the late 15C French style of stupidly long ascenders. Like you flourished italics above, but a lot more embellished. It's also a Gothic style, so much more squarish too.

Thanks, darl. That'd be great! Guess what? I went out to Harbour Town and bought a set of pyjamas. I was all excited cause they were pink and they had kittens on them.

I ask Tina around later that day cause I also got some really awesome clothes and shoes. I eventually show her the pyjamas and she goes, "Hey! Helen's got those pyjamas!" And then I remember that sleepover, and yes, you DO have these pyjamas!

So now I have a pair of the same pyjamas. I can't believe I forgot you had these. I tell you what, though, they're really frikkin' comfy! :D

Aww! That's great! I convinced all my friends to buy those pj's because they are so comfy and totally cute. I think only Sharleen and I have ours left - everyone else wore theirs so much they wore out!

Well, if they want more, two stores are carrying them very cheap in Harbour Town!

You're right - they are TOO comfy! I spent all day in mine today. :-P I'm sick, though, so I have an excuse! *lol*

No excuse needed! As soon as I get home from work or uni I always put my pyjamas on straight away! I really like PJ's - and would buy cute cuddly pyjamas over sexy lingerie! At the moment I'm lasting after these super cute kitty pants but they are a bit expensive for me to buy atm.
