logansrogueOkay. I hate doing this. I really, really hate doing this. Mainly because I don't want people to think that I *expect* a present when I invite them to a party. I don't. But if you feel like getting me something, hey, that's awesome. I like presents, in fact, my birthday is the other time of the year that I can make excuses to spend money on myself without feeling guilty about it. But I really like the surprise, and I like what a present says to me. It can tell me how thoughtful someone is, it can tell me what they think I'd like. I find that very fascinating. It also says a lot about *them*, so much so that when I use that gift, I think of that person. I like that. So only refer to this list if you REALLY can't think of anything to give me and ONLY if you were going to give me something anyway.
Tina (originalnilson) asked me what I wanted for my birthday. Really - I just don't know. There are so many cool things out there, most of it useless. She told me to write a list, so I'm writing one, but it's against my programming, if you will. It's not something I'm very good at doing. There are probably HEAPS of things on this list that I'd love to receive that I just haven't thought about. Anyway, on to the list. May as well get this over with!
- Body Shop stuff. Anything with a White Musk, Strawberry, Sandalwood or Brazil Nut scent. Not perfume, though, as strong perfumes can trigger my migraines and I've already got those perfumes anyway. And I have Brazil Nut body butter, so I don't need any body butter.
- Gift vouchers for cool shops always make me happy. Places like JB Hifi or Jacksons Art Supplies especially.
- DVDs are cool. There are a bunch of really cool movies that I like that I don't have on DVD.
Shit. They're the only ones I can think of right now, but there are more. Tina - you know what I like. If you go the DVD route, there's little that you can get that would upset me. I'm easy to please.
- Anything mermaid themed. Anything. Stickers, glittery mobiles, t-shirts, you name it.
- Anything pirate or nautical themed. I'm a girl of the ocean. Cutesy skulls on pink things with gothic writing don't count. That just makes me think of Avril Lavigne and we don't want that.
- Pretty paper. I like pretty paper. Especially origami paper.
- A really good book on origami. My Dad used to have an awesome one but I lost it ages ago. It always amuses me, the thought of my Dad with his great sausage fingers trying to do origami! Hahaha! Uhm - not a starter book cause I've been doing it since I was a kid so I'm pretty good.
- Cheap fun rings. I always like those.
- I like cat things.
- Cool pens. I like cool pens.
- Ooh! Head scarves. Indian looking ones. I have two or three left and they're both falling apart. The square groovy cheap ones with paisley on them. Usually I like purples. If you find them anywhere, let me know cause I really, really miss being able to buy those.
Ahhh, shit. I can't think of anything else, I really can't. All the things I need in life are things that aren't really 'gift appropriate'. Long-sleeved tops, jumpers, snug slippers that won't fall apart after being used for a mere two months (THANK YOU, TARGET, YOU WHORES!). Erm, yes. And I'm getting myself a good pair of headphones for my birthday (AKG ones, they're schweeet!). For recording music.
