I want to download the full series of The Mysterious Cities of Gold but we have a download limit with iiNet - 40 gig a month. This means I have to make allowances for things - like new Doctor Who eps, which I need about two gig a month for. That's to say nothing of the gigs this family chews through by watching Youtube.

Anyway. So it's up in six parts. I can do one part a month. That means it'd take me SIX MONTHS to download the whole series!

FUUUUUUUUUUCK! *kicks something*

I hate iiNet sometimes.

Gees Nance - that's a huge DL limit. I'm used to like a gig or 5 gig. *pats* you'll manage to download it all.

(BTW - 1:30am is such a good time for gooey chocolate desserts *g*)

Of course, I haven't actually had an internet connection of my own all year...

Yeah but we have four people using the computer at once. All watching YouTube. LOL! I guess I'm bandwidth hungry. :D

(It is, it really is!)

It's online if you care to download it - seven gigs though. :(

So you need to talk to some bandwidth enabled friends who also like doctor who, or whatever else you're downloading and have just one designated person download it and then share it around on the sneakernet.

p.s. What's a 40 gig download limit cost over your side of the country?

It's through iiNet, and the speed is 512kb a second.

389 bucks a quarter are their rates. It hurts but I can't stand being on slownet. :(

i downloaded it all last year and have it burnt onto dvd. albeit dodgy quality, but you can't expect much from something taped off tv almost 20yrs ago and transferred to digital medium.

I'll be in Perth on the 5th of July if you want to borrow it
