I've been doing a looksee through Deviant Art for some H/Hr art done by fellow Harry Potter fans. Here are some of my favourite finds! Please note - I didn't do this art! I'm just recommending art I've seen!

erm, is "Harry and Hermione by *Art-Noir" copied? it just looks like they've gone over a real photo to make it look like a painting.

No. I can tell - it's not. The proportions are just slightly off, as is usual with eye-drawn work. They did high-detail digital, that's why it's hard to tell the difference.

I thought the same thing until I zoomed in, but you can see it's a little "off" around the eyes and in the shape of both Harry and Hermione's faces. I'm a graphic artist, myself, and can usually recognize Photoshop filters passed off as art when I see them. This doesn't instantly strike me as phony. :)

Nacey, thanks for sharing these. I really like the way Periwinkle Blue interprets Hermione's hair. It partly reminds me of the art deco style of drawing hair. It also strikes me as sort of messily elegant, or like it has a life of its own. :)

It's okay, people often get the two mixed up. Though, if they were side by side, you definitely wouldn't cause they're very opposite - one is all geometric and angles and the other is organic and flowing. Guess which I prefer. ;)
