First of all, the 30 Plus vitamin pills I bought are, apparently, useless for me. They promote endometrial growth and that's the LAST thing I need. They also inhibit iron absorption, and that's what I'm currently trying to give a good kick in the pants to get my iron levels back (I was 16 and most women are supposed to be at about 20-22). Then B6 isn't supposed to be any good at helping bloating and stomach problems at all.

But fennel and probiotics seem to be effective, so I'll have to give those a go. I wouldn't mind so much but vitamin pills are so damned expensive, I'm so damned broke so basically I've wasted money on magical elixirs. :( Fuck it.

Ooooooh, I don't like the 30Plus pills. Lots of women buy them from my work and think they're going to solve all their problems. Silly advertising promotions :(

Try Solgar Gentle Iron, it's a very good price and absorbed by the body beautifully. And yay with the fennel and probiotics! Mmmmmmmm fennel....

What's fennel meant to do? Other than taste good?

Fennel is excellent for gastrointestinal problems -irritable bowel, bloating, poor digestion. Helps soothe sore tummies ;D

Also good for breastfeeding Mamas

On the topic of probiotics, I know that probiotics are a bit of a fad up here in Canada and turn up in various food products like yogurt/fruit juice mixes and frozen yogurt.

I'm not sure what the pricing of those are like compared to just normal supplements or how they compare. Just tossing that idea out there.

I don't think they're too expensive. I'll have to put it on the shopping list. (I love Yakult).

If fennel works for you, Then perhaps you should try gripe water. I don't know if it's even heard of in AU, I introduced it to a few mothers in the states. It's a liquid made from Fennel extract used to ease babies stomachs. It also gets rid of their hiccups. My friend Beth's baby had horrible stomach problems that kept him up all hours of the night. I sent her some of that and it worked wonders.

They have one brand of it available in America, but they want 8.00$ a bottle there/online. It's the most common thing here in Canada and you can get a large bottle for about $1.25. So, look around, if you know of it, or it's available there, try it out. It tastes like black licorice. If you can't find it. I will post some out to you A.S.A.P.
