Or do they resonate with me because I am that way? A bit of both?

The Sesame Street Pinball Starring the Pointer Sisters as the music in the background...

Now, I watched SS every day when I was a kid, and this was one of my favourite animations. Says a lot, don't it?

Wow, I remember that bit.
I also remember the day Mr. Hooper died, and they tried to explain death. I didn't get it then, but they made a good effort.

I was such a bitchy little kid. I was like, "Yeah, this is sad, but boring. I wanna see Kermit wave his arms about and scream!"

No, real funerals of real people make me cry. TV memorials just make me want to break something.

Except Peter Brock's funeral. That made me real sad. Probably cause it was so solemn and tasteful.

I saw a little bit of the one for Steve Irwin. I got so mad! It was like a 'cavalcade of the stars'. All these singers and dancers and crap. It was horrible!

Yeah, and putting the little girl on show. Just ugh. I had to hear her speech about ten times yesterday. It was sweet and all, but sweet jiggery Christ! Once is enough! :(

The only good thing about it was I got to see Hugh Jackman. Mmmm. Hugh.
