I've found a moral loophole in my killing of mice. One got caught in the trap last night and was very, very dead. But do you know what? It's okay.

Cause then I take the dead mouse outside and give it to Lenny. You should see his eyes light up! He's so excited by a mousy treat! And animals like that are really good for cats, cause it's unprocessed animal with all the good bits that they usually eat left in!

So yes. I no longer feel bad about it, cause there's good coming of it. The life isn't wasted, the circle goes on. Yay!

Mice freak me out. Another thing you might want to try in addition to the traps are cottonballs with peppermint oil. It has to be done fairly often and doesn't get rid of all of them, but it reduces them SIGNIFICANTLY. Also, there's the bonus of the room smelling like peppermint.

My cat would NEVER eat something that was already dead... she prefers to torture it first

They don't freak me out, I think they're pretty, but the SOUNDS they make freak me out. The scritching and scratching and squeaking.

I'll have to try that. Are there any other oils that works with?

My cat is too fucking stupid to know the difference, I think. I think he realises that it 'doesn't work'. He pushes it around, but then he's like "Oh well, fuck it!", bites down on it and takes it off somewhere to be chomped on.

My Mum thinks he's finally got us properly trained.
