Football is fuckin' funny.

logansrogueI love my Aussie Rules football. I know it's daggy and most of my friends, being intellectual and geeky types, don't really dig the game of the oval red ball (or yellow as it sometimes is).
But I tell you, there are moments of pure hilarity involved in football. For example, there's a player called Cox. And you know how passionate commentators can get, right?
One time, the commentator was getting into a lather because the team that Cox (an Eagles player) was opposing nearly got the ball in the goal. It was down in the goal square and they took a boot. As the ball sailed towards it, Cox runs in and the commentator says:
"And it's GOING TOWARDS GOAL! IT'S NEARLY IN - OH!! And the ball's TOUCHED BY COX!!"
Me and my brothers break into laughter, and Paul says, "And now none of the other players want to touch the ball!"
We love coming up with stupid commentating with Cox's name. Scotty did a good one today, for instance. "Cox stands firm!"
But nothing can beat what the commentator said today.
"Oh and BIG COX!!! Takes the MARK!"
Oh, football. I love you. I love how gay you are!!!
