I'm at this music festival in Washington. It's all Christian, mostly, and while I love God and all, I am bored out of my ever-loving mind.
My sister is working for this guy who owns a tea-booth. This one day, this guy and girl are working the booth with the guy when me and my sister get there.
I hang around, and me and this other dude who me and my sister went to the Fest with start talking about Harry Potter. He likes the books but doesn't like to think or analyze about them and just accepts whatever JKR does. ...This of course conflicts with my views, and I'm getting just a bit twitchy, and the other guy pipes up from behind us that he likes Harry Potter and runs a HP website and helps with a Podcast.
I of course ask.
He's the webmaster of Witherwings, and often works with Misti on the Harmony Podcast.
Dude, this dude and his girlfriend friggen kept me -sane-. The poor things. I'd bring up HP with them all the time, I got so annoying. And when me and him tried to explain fandom and shipping and stuff to those who didn't know, I'd keep piping up at random times with the Ginny-hate and grr-ness over book six. Jordan kept glaring at me for it 'cause I'd cut him off while he tried to actually explain things rationally.
It was so funny. I bet he hated me by the end there, but we'd bicker like that all night while he, me, and my sister stayed up with some people around a bonfire. Everyone kept asking if we were brother and sister. No one believed we'd only known each other two days.
It was hilarious. ...I know that was a freakishly long and random explanation, but yeah. I like telling people about how fandom and RL went BOOM there for a bit.
Oh, and his girlfriend's just such a doll. We talked about a lot of non-HP stuff. Seriously, kept me friggen sane.
Hahaha! I'm glad you can talk to me, it warms my heart! And I love hearing about fun stuff that happens to people!! *hugs* Absolutely nothing to forgive!
