Hey - random question. About journalfen - is the only way to get an account these days to pay for it? (Did I word that question properly? I'm a bit tizzled and sozzled at the mo-mo, and SupermanII-happy, so it might be wrong. Words might come out like, "OMG REEVE'S BULGE! BWAHAHA!" See? It just happened!)

Anyhoodles - yeah. Lemme know. Cause now the "OMG LET'S BASH HARMOANIANS!" thing has calmed down a beet, I've actually found fandom_wank to be kinda amusing, and it'd be nice to have an account. Except that it doesn't have a createaccount bml thingo anymore at the right linko.

I think that either you have to be there when they have a rare occasion of allowing people to sign up, or have a friend that has a paid account invite/recommend you or something. I got my account by the aid of phoenixwriter, maybe you could ask her? Or if you know anyone else with a paid account.

There's free sign ups at random, sometimes announced, sometimes not. I got my account by stumbling upon it during a unannounced free sign up period.

I think it falls back to either luck or knowing someone with a paid account.

The free signs stopped some time ago I think (I got my account on a free sign, but currently the link to sign is broken, even for payed ones, and you have to contact the admins to get an account). Currently it is pay, or have someone with a pay account to give you a code. Also there is that anon_no_more community, where if you have five or more anon comments on some JF community their members with paid accounts consider to give you a code for a free account. But maybe phoenixwriter can help you.

However there's tons of movie piracy here too, so I really don't understand. People goes to cinema regardless of piracy, because going to cinema is more enjoyable than seeing the pirate movie at your home.

Well, I really don't know how is the economic situation in Uruguay, but it isn't nice here and people can be very thickhead about that. I really REALLY hate pirate copies. The dvd stores are doing very well, though.

Well, economic situation here is not very good either, but cinema is not cheap either, so people who buys the pirate copies because they can't afford a ticket isn't going to the cinema no matter the pirate copies exist or not.

Normally, people with less money goes to Cinemateca, which is a cheaper cinema, and has the movies a little later. Also cinema is cheaper from Monday to Thursday and before 6 PM, and there are several promotions on different cinemas to get discounts. For example I acumulate some sort of points when I buy with my credit card and then I can use them for having my cinema tickets half price.

The price of tickets is about 110 $ on weekends at night in the most expensive cinemas, that it's about 4,50 american dollars.

por lo que veo lo mas nuevo para ver serian las infantiles (Cars y Vecinos Invasores, no vi ninguna), pero las no infantiles estan re-atrasadas. La Pantera rosa estaba chistosa aunque no se compara con la original. La de mision imposible, es pasable, aunque nada del otro mundo. La de Soltero en Casa no la vi. Vidas Cruzadas tampoco la vi. La Caida la vi, es historica, a mi marido le encanto y a mi me aburrio un poco. Hostel no la vi. Codigo Da Vinci la vi, y si ya la novela es mas o menos entretenida la pelicula es mas parada. Inframundo no la vi.
