Totally off-topic, but I just saw your icon and I had to ask: are you a Dune fan?

Yes. A hundred times yes. I have loved the movie all my life (don't bite, I know it doesn't represent the books TOO well, but if Frank Herbert was happy with it, so am I), and now I'm reading the book. I'm about halfway through and I'm getting just a little obsessed. *sigh*

LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS!

Heh, I am a Dune fan myself. Now, not only do I like you because you love Xena and the same ships that I do (go G/J and A/X :D) but also because of Dune. ^_^

I have loved the movie all my life (don't bite, I know it doesn't represent the books TOO well, but if Frank Herbert was happy with it, so am I),

I liked the movie, too, but I much prefer the movie made after the third book of the series, Children of Dune. If you get the chance to read the book and / or watch the movie, please do so, they are definitely worth it.

I know what you mean. I remember that when I read Dune myself, I was so caught in it that I canceled all my real life schedule for the day that took me to finish it. It's an awesome book, to say the least.

I'm taking my time reading it, cause I know there's only a few books in the series. I don't want to rush this! Plus I'm high a lot, so that slows me down considerably.

The cool part is that there's a long series of Dune books, not just the one original. If you like his writing style and the Dune universe he created, you've got plenty of good reading ahead. I've read the whole series that existed and now the additional books several times over every few years since I found them as a child.

Yeah. I just saw some of the series, so I'm looking forward to reading more books. Paul Muad'Dib is my favourite though.
