Geez, the fuckin' media won't leave that little mining town. They keep kawwing over it to see if they can get any other stories. I'm sure those guys want to go back to their quiet lives, ya know? A bit of normality after all that brouhaha? Poor dudes.

Sore day. I'm going to be posting a ficlet or two. (Xena).

It sounds like the mining disaster we had in West Virginia, but in that case only one miner survived. The rest were killed by the carbon monoxide poisoning (coal mining disaster). I was very happy to hear that the 2 miners got out safely (yes, there was coverage in the States, but it's died off now).

hey you!

I'm sick of hearing about the Beaconsfield mining disaster too. As sad as it is someone has to be responsible also. There are so many people lying in that small town. People trying to cover things up. Do you remember that a similar thing happened there not to long ago? Apparently they mended the problem last time, why did it happen again? Unfortunately not too much happens in Australia, as far as the media is concerned this is a great story. I myself am sick of it. Let's cross to Bondi where the rescue of Mrs Martha's cat is being rescued from a drain pipe!!!! Now that's news...

Speak to you soon,

Me x

Ironically, during the two weeks the blokes were trapped underground, three Torres St Islanders were adrift at sea for nearly 20 days, presumed dead, then were found alive. I think it may have made page 17 if it made the news at all. Of course, they had the bad manners to be blackfellas, may have had something to do with the media's lack of coverage of their amazing survival story...
