Pretty mood continues!

logansrogueI'm still feeling pretty. Maybe it's cause I'm writing something fun, who knows.
I have rings on my fingers, a cat collar around my ankle with diamontes, pretty shiny silvery appliques on my nails over the fucking AWESOME purple nail polish, one of those awesome Indian bracelet chained to ring things, some pretty jangly bracelets and some sparkly purple thing that is a necklace for my tiny niece around my arm like a Goddess arm band. :D I feel thin and pretty. Well - slim for me. Healthy.
I gave myself a mud mask, I shaved my legs (cause I've taken to wearing tights and if I have hairy legs, my legs get itchy and sore).
My pain isn't too much today, either. I hope that lasts, I like feeling like this. *happy sigh* And Scotty is listening to one of his Beatles Anthology tapes and it's making me feel all bouncy and happy. Listening to John and Paul piss-fart around while recording is good and giggly.
Yup. My hands look good. The rest of me might not be in top shape, but my hands look fucking AWESOME.
Oh - and nousia!! You need to tell me if you want that mod position or not! I don't mind what you decide, it's all up to you! I understand either way! :D

Date: 2006-05-01 06:14 am (UTC)Heh, in all seriousness, Duncan Sheik is a really fabulous musician. He's a local NYer and had a big break in 1996 with a single called Barely Breathing. It's a pop song. It's much better live, actually. Nonetheless, everyone loved the pop song, but when he started writing and singing songs influenced by Nick Drake, his idol, he lost a tonne of press and 'fans' and such. So there's a little core group and we faithfully buy his albums and go to his concerts that are so intimate, you're sitting next to the stage, and he hugs you afterwards and signs your stuff and you talk philosophy. (He's Buddhist and likes to talk about it. You know my major-- so when I wanted to discuss the Lotus Sutra with him, which I was studying the last time I saw him in concert-- I was terrified I was going to accidently say the 'Kama Sutra' and then I kept thinking, "If you think you'll say it, you will, so shut up, brain!" Thankfully, it came out Lotus and not Kama. ;) ) He was dropped from Atlantic the same time Tori Amos was, in 2001, and so he started a new label. He said he wrote Daylight out of contractual obligation because they were so unhappy with Phantom Moon, which I loved! Listen to Sad Stephen's Song. Mermaids! (The title was an obvious reference on his part to Pink Moon.)
Anyway, I hardly ever recommend music because I am so picky myself and know how it is to be bombarded with 'if you like, you'll like' but, hey, look how hot he is! ;)
