Although the first ep was a first-run and an interesting story, which helped. If they follow this thread up later I'll like it A LOT. Basically, one of the things they exorcise left fatal wounds on Sam as a parting gift. I'd like to see them work with that - the two boys are known to the spirit world now, and they are not invulnerable. There are spirits who are going to be trying to avoid them, others trying to kill them and others willing to take Parthian shots.
While the plot of the ep was how Dean runs around, finds a way to fix Sam and then they realise the holy healing is not quite so holy and have to deal with that, two things came up in the episode I really want them to run with: a) the fact that the faith healer says to Sam, "I didn't choose you, God did - you have a job to do and it isn't finished"; and b) that Sam feels guilt over the death of the man whose life was swapped for his own. The boys have been facing down bad thing after bad thing and it's been skill and good luck keeping them intact so far, it'd be really interesting if some of that good luck wasn't good luck so much as a good/positive deity pushing things so they go hir champions' way (though, man, way to make Sam feel rebellious); and what will Sam do to make up for the life that was untimely taken to ensure his own survival?
I'll keep watching, just to see if future scriptwriters pick up on these two concepts.
Nancy, I don't want to bother you, but...did you received that mail I sent you like...last saturday I think.. well, I'm not sure if I sent it to your main mail account or not.
And what's more, one of the episodes of Supernatural was a repeat! I'm actually a fan of the show, so I was a bit annoyed to get double Numb3rs instead last week (I figured since I'm so late on that bandwagon I'll just pick it up on DVD sometime).I really wish they'd stop screwing around with the schedule.
Last week there was a second Numb3rs episode instead of Supernatural, though come to think of it I don't know if channel 10 screens the same stuff at the same time in different states (I'm in Brisvegas).
