Ah! Fuck Pies! Need audio help?
Apr. 5th, 2006 03:19 pmOkay doods. Do any of you know of some kind of software that I can use for compression? You know, like, with a microphone and stuff? Cause I am having a shit of a time finding anything. It's just something I want to be able to run while I'm recording my voice.
I think I'm just going to have to get my hands on a fucking better microphone, that won't piss it's pants every time I start singing above talking volume. *sigh* And I so wanted to show you guys my new song today. :(

Date: 2006-04-05 07:37 am (UTC)so I'm not totaly sure what you are getting at by decompression....
are you experiencing pops and hiss (for example breathe noise)?
or is it that you are getting a really muffled signal?
If you can give more details I may be able to lead you in the right direction to resolve the issue.

Date: 2006-04-05 09:04 am (UTC)I also have microphones, though really good large condensor vocal mikes are in short supply. Decent dynamics, on the other hand, I have plenty of, which should do for demos.
Unfortunately, I'm over east until after easter. After that, though, I'd be happy to help you out.
