Don't be shocked at all that you can distinguish between endo pain and other kinds of pain. When you are as exposed to something as we are to pain, you definately learn the nuances of it.
The only thing that's ever thrown me was the kidney stone last May. I was sure that that was my "normal pain", and until they found the stone on the MRI, I wouldn't let them admit me into hospital.
