We ran out of daystrength Mercyndol, so I'm all doped up on full-strength. I have to phone KEMH and confirm my surgery booking for tomorrow. I'm trying very hard not to fall asleep.

If you want to make me happy, buy me runts. You know. Those shiny miniature fruit treats. I like to slowly nibble on them while I read books (Poirot lately).

I feel totally bizarre. Like all my emotions are broken. I don't feel anything but this business-like deadness. A tension, but it's not an excited tension. Everyone keeps telling me it's routine, but an op is an op, right? There's a possibility, no matter how small, of complications. So on one hand, I'm trying to treat it as a routine simple operation. On the other hand I'm trying to treat it with the gravity it deserves, so I'm not all surprised when I go in there.

I tried to catch up on my friends list but I just couldn't read the posts. My brain wouldn't absorb anything. My eyes would take in the words but the meaning wouldn't stick. :( Oh well. This is why I keep reading ohnotheydidnt - it's something I can comprehend, even in my highly doped up and stupid state.

I am going to shower, make the call to the hospital, then TRY to get some sleep. Cause I feel shithouse. Maybe M. Poirot will make me feel better.
