yeah we wanted to as well :( but driving in an arab country is like...san fransisco during a natural disaster times 10. which made it difficult to just stop. *ponders the equation charlie could create for that* and they were pretty strict about where we could go.
yeah we had some a-sploding going on when i was there. suicide bomber drove up to a crowded theater and blew himself up. thankfully only one person aside from the bomber was killed. Someone got stabbed downtown at the suks too, which i guess is like the arab china town. lol. you can buy cheap jewelry and pearls and crap like that. I only left base twice and we didnt go to the suks either time. We went to the mall..and ate pizza hut. Yeah..all the way to an arab country to eat pizza. haha. we did eat at this one place that served nothing but chicken and stuff like that..and you were encouraged to eat with your hands, no silverware.
We used to be able to go TDY (temporary duty) to Egypt to teach their air force how to jump out of planes. But that was before my time. I spent some time in Kuwait too..and not the nice part. I wish we still deployed to Kuwait City. The per diem was like..$80 a day in addition to all the other pay..and they got to live in 5 star hotels with pools instead of ricket metal trailers or tents.
I'm in the Air Force. I work with freight and passengers, although my primary specialty is with the freight side of things. We build the stuff up on pallets, tie them down and make sure they're ready to fly by air, or go out by flatbed truck. I'm in an admin position now. "Career enhancement". I got hand selected for a position in the office that manages daily ops and personnel for the freight section. Basically right now..i'm a gopher. I run around and ferry paperwork all over, help with reports and assist in manning, while finishing up my associates degree. 4 more classes to go!
Wow! I never even thought about that side of the Air Force. I guess people that have nothing to do with it don't - things get there by magic or something. LOL. Good luck on the degree!!

I've been trying to get some good pictures of Don doing crazy shit or making weird faces...but he's so hard to come up with funny phrases for that actually fit on an icon. Plus I have a tendancy to snap wayyy to many charlie, charlie/amita, charlie/larry, charlie/random people pictures. Cuz he's so lickable. It sucks that you havent seen seen season 2 yet..cuz their are some definate funny threads you could do.

Just say when you post them on your own journal where they come from. I've seen someone post an icon based on my caps and people will be all "ROFLMAO! You're brilliant!" to the person - and the person didn't say "It comes from here." Which I got totally upset about. So that's why I'm cautious. It's not cause I don't trust you. I adore you!

I'm such a TV loser...I own all 10 seasons on dvd. TV dvds got me through four months in the desert. My poor portable dvd player got the fucking shit beat out of it. I ended up buying all 5 seasons of Angel..and watched them religiously. To the point I started quoting the lines at work.

I used to watch Without A Trace a lot (Enrique!!) but I've been missing it lately. See, I'm a TV whore! I used to watch Buffy and Angel, but I got tired of the way Joss treated his characters. Sick of him breaking my heart. LOL!
I was like..fucking a just give wesley a woman and let him be happy. I kind of like how he was all rough and dirty after he got his throat slashed. They 'killed' Fred, his one true love, and then they go and fucking kill him????!!! WESLEY WAS HAWT!! You dont fucking kill hot characters. It's just..wrong.

Then he can ressurect Wesley and Wesley will be all like...kickass and stuff.
