Well dudes, I downloaded some totally sweet Xena caps, and I decided that, today, in my utter boredom, I'd make some icons.
I ended up making a LOT. Well, for me anyway.
Less of the Xena, more of the Joxer. Anyhew, let me tell you the story of this one:
Pretty, non? Well, that started out like this:
And then I started playing with brushes and mixing effects, and on the way I hit this:
which I kinda liked, and this:
which I REALLY liked. But it's too indistinct. You can't really tell what's going on. So I went in with a fine pencil tool in Adobe Photoshop and coloured it in, bringing out the darks and the lights till I got the artsy funny grin icon above. Basically, it's rotoscoping fanart in an icon. I think it looks pretty awesome, even if it's not the most flattering shot of Ted Raimi ever. Moving on.

Yeah, I couldn't decide which font to go with in the 'hero' icon. I think the roundish one works best. But I thought I'd put them all up for you to take whichever one you liked.
I know there aren't heaps of people out there that are enamoured of Xena, it being very cult and obscure, but hey - I thought I'd share.
