logansrogue: (xena love)

I've not even looked at my Xena fic for months now. There's ones I'm finishing (like the Children of the Gods series, which needs a fine-tuned OVERHAUL cause the first ones are so badly written). But I was talking to Findle this morning and a plot-bunny got me right between the eyes. Like this:

Awww... cute lil bunny!

The bard tries to coax it over...

... You fucking WHAT?

A new story idea sucks the bard dry of time, energy and sanity.

Problem is, I'm so sketchy on the canon of the show (as apocryphal as it was) and all my old tapes are kinda ratshit. Taped from Channel Ten and they were cutty-cutty with the eps and our reception was awful. The basic premise is this:

nacey: If I were writing a movie, I'd totally Back to the Future it
nacey: And the 25 year leap? Is Horror1985 with Biff Tannen's overlordship.
nacey: And it's totally ERASED
nacey: And none of the Gods died.
nacey: *pets and loves her Gods*
nacey: Actually...
nacey: ...
nacey: That's a good fic idea.
nacey: BUNNY! AARGH!
findle: Hehe
nacey: Someone's done that, right?
nacey: Gabrielle waking up, jaded, bitchy McXenapants Gabrielle, and she's in the past with her long hair and shit...
nacey: Or maybe not long hair...
nacey: There's gotta be something that they could have stopped happening to make everything go to the shit house...
findle: <-----thinks short hair gab is hot
nacey: I don't mind it
nacey: I just don't know what instance I would pick to make it revert to something far more favourable than season six
findle: Yeah
findle: More favorable
findle: Like having joxer watching grass grow
findle: That would be better than what they did
nacey: Exactly

So, if it's already been done, I'm saved the trouble. If it hasn't, then it's another idea that will rattle around in my already crowded brain, like the drawer that you have which you don't have any specific purpose for - you just fill it with useless shit you haven't got any other place for. Like pens you're not sure if work or not. And corks. And string. And sticky-tape.

you may be able to download Xena?? They'd probably have rips from the US release of the DVDs so the quality would be good?

Yes, yes I could do that. Don't think I'd have the room on my HD... so much time, so much trouble... so many other things I should be doing! Bwah! LOL!

LOLZ! I'm working on getting a new harddrive right now...mine's infected with a virus or something. It's hard trying to find a good one if you have no clue what you're doing! *pulls out hair* At least my computer was built in front of me, so I at least remember how to put it back together!

LOLZ! People give me a lot more credit than I deserve. I don't know why people think I know so much...I never told anyone I did, but now I apparently know how to stop every virus and install every piece of hardware. I know my shit and I didn't even know it!

I know! I actually know graphics software pretty well, but my mom will ask me all of these questions about programs I've never heard of. And no, I don't know how to work that burner drive on that PC if I've never even used that PC before! And I sure as hell don't know anything about megahertz and gigahertz and all this crap.

Holy shit! That sounds similar to something that I was playing around with Susie Owens a few years ago! I had suggested an opening scene montage with some of FIN - very quick stuff and then Gabrielle wakes up, bgsb and all, in a cold sweat. Xena's looking at her strangely and then she does that little smirk that she does, says, "Good morning, Gabrielle."

Gabby: "B-b-but..."

Xena: "But what?"

Before Gabrielle can respond, Joxer comes crashing through the woods, waterskins in hand and he grins goofily at the two ladies. "Hi!" He narrows his eyes, brow furrowing as he does the lip thing while he stares at Gabrielle, who is staring back at him with an absolutely gobsmacked expression on her face. "What's the matter?"

Gabrielle (strangled voice): "B... bu... You're dead!"

Joxer rolls his eyes. "Told you that the mutton didn't smell that good when we ate at that inn last night."

Gabrielle (exasperated): "JOXER!"

You get the basic idea...

Oh, I do love In Sickness and In Hell! :-D

....all the gods died? *whimper* ARES!!!

But what about that episode where it's in the future and 'Gabby's lookalike decendant type' (aka, Indiana Jones Gabrielle style) finds Ares' tomb or something and stuf.
He CAN'T be dead! They did a future episode of it! He is NOT dead! *stays in denial*

No no, Ares never died. I mean, the actor did, but the character didn't. Xena made sure of that. I still think she wants him bad. LOL! Relaaaaax!

No, it never was finished. It was just idle speculation on our parts in a series of "what if" e-mails - and that was what I was thinking more or less. Although I realized that while Gabrielle is staring at Joxer, she had a very quick flashback to when Livia/Eve cheerfully stabbed Old Joxer in the stomach.

Hey, what do you prefer to chat on, if you feel like chatting later since it's morning for me now and I've got some errands to do (I think we've got a 12 hour time difference between us)? I have AIM and Yahoo - user name is fiebrans. Let me know if you'd still like to talk! :-D
