Egg-day...

What's the gestation period for a black house spider? Cause Mary has had her babies... I want to put the whole lot outside, somewhere safe. so that when she has the babies they all have somewhere good to go, like in Charlottes web.

Plus, is this the death knell for Mary? I'm not sure of the Black House Spider's life cycle... I might have to look it up.

I don't know all that much about spiders (especially Australian ones), but most spiders generally live only for a season, but some live longer.

I know that the majority of spiders that I've ever seen. After they lay eggs they have like... 36 hrs left to live. But the there was that really HUGE nast spider that I swear must have lived for ever after she laid eggs because when I'd go hiking, her nest was right there and she'd chase me back up the mountain. (I'm deathly afraid of spiders)

If she dies, I'll keep her body. I've kept beautiful moth and butterfly bodies as well.

Is the papa still there or has she eaten him?

Oh ,my tarantula arrived..only she's staying with my dad instead of my mom.I'm to scared of her at the moment.

I named her Boots (my sis is a Dora fan and she suggested it, because the spider does have boots..i showed you a picture once)

Papa died a long time ago. No babies - just eggs! I'm waiting patiently for them to hatch!

COOL! Boots is a nice name! You can call her BOOTSIE! :)
