The gang has returned to the bar after a funeral. Everyone except Frasier is depressed. He observes that death is a natural part of life, and that he simply refuses to accept Death as some cold, pale ghastly ghoul that lays its bony hand upon your shoulder and tells you that it's time to go.
At that moment, Lilith at her most severe lays her bony hand upon his shoulder, saying "Frasier, it's time to go."
He SCREEEEAMS like a girl!
Then recovers, take a deep breaths, and says "Put on some make-up will you for god's sake!"
BTW, C.S. Lewis had this to say in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" about the heritage of the White Witch:
[Peter] "Isn't the witch herself human?"
[Mr. Beaver] "She'd like just to believe it, and it's on that she bases her claim to be Queen. But she's no Daughter of Eve. She comes of your father Adam's... first wife, her they called Lilith. And she was one of the Jinn."
Figure a lot of the rewrites as PR spin -- especially from your basic patriarchal authority figures who wanted the original marriage-of-equals poster girl to be an out-and-out villainess.
Right. Well, her root is in old Babylonian Goddesses, right? Who were totally with it and cool. So I guess any new religion (Judaism) that comes along and wants to win fans will rag on the old one. (I'm thinking aloud here).
Ragging on the old religion to discredit it in favor of the new one, yes. But also, a bit of propaganda to ensure that the myths and legends being handed down by the people are giving appropriate role models and condemning the unsuitable heroes and heroines as villains.
