I am taking teawithvoldy's pledge. Because I care about fandom.

I solemly swear, that I, logansrogue, will not stop reading HP. I will not throw, rip, destroy the books in anyway possible, or just act like the biggest moronic noob to ever walk on this planet, if my chosen ship HARRY/HERMIONE DOES NOT happen in canon, in HBP. I will try to accept whatever ship it will be and get on with it without any hissy fit.

I, logansrogue, also won't act like the biggest bastard noob to ever walk on this planet if my chosen ship H/Hr DOES happen in canon. I will not make fun, provoke or scream to the entire world that my ship was chosen and so and so's wasn't, 'so go up yourself' sort of behavior. Face it! Whatever happiness I will feel, means that someone else will be saddened by the result, so I will not pour salt in another person's wounds!

I like that a lot. However, it doesn't do anything about the folks who are already so so so convinced in the validity of their own preferred couplings that they ALREADY make a point to rub everyone else's nose in it.

I'll be happy if it's a good story. I may be disappointed that my instincts failed me, and I'll cringe muchly at the vitriolic spewing that will come from one faction or another, but if the story makes it work, rock on.

Precisely. I could handle Cho/Harry (maybe because it was such a bloody disaster) but JKR made it bearable. She's that good a writer.
