If Kim Beazley becomes the new opposition leader, I will be SO amused. It'll be great. I'll be like, "Yay the big fattie! Go Kimmie!" *bwahahaha*. Finally. A party leader I don't despise with every fibre of my being.

As long as its not Stephen Smith.
Kimbo is terrific. Would be nice to see him be Prime Minister one day.

I lost a fair bit of respect for him when he anounced he was going to be running straight after latham resigned. he's repeatedly said he wouldn't challenge again after losing 2 internal leadership ballots, and recently said he wouldn't challenge for the leadership. I do however think he is the best man to lead them at the moment, even with 2 electoral losses behind him.

Honestly? I think he's just playing it until he gets the support he'll need to get back in. He's crafty like that. I don't necessarily trust him any more than Howard, but at least it's someone that will keep Howard on his toes, you know?

Yeah, he has leadership abilities, and will at least put some real pressure on howard. I don't trust him at all, he's a politician.

It will be good if he does run unopposed though, at least for the labor party it will be. They haven't shown internal solidity for at least 3-4 years.
