I miss fandom.
Aug. 24th, 2010 12:27 amI've been so busy with my original projects in the last year that I've spent no time on fan projects. Every time I start them, I feel terrible, like I'm neglecting the important stuff. But expressing my fannish side is important to me. I think Doctor Who portraits, and portraits of my favourite characters in various shows, is all I do in the fan stakes anymore.
Do you miss my writing or my less finished art pieces? Let me know. I know I miss being in a fandom. I miss the friendships and the conversations and the wait for the new episodes of whatever. Problem is, Britain is the place making all the good shows, and the only make those shows for six to thirteen episodes. Sometimes even less. Makes a sustained fandom run harder. I get distracted otherwise.
