A concept to raise myself some money easily.

I have some big commissions I'm working on. I'll be working on those now that I've nearly got all these health checks and stuff over with this week.

I've been thinking of little paintings that are a blend of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and a little 60s and 70s. They would be Nature Spirit paintings. Not just paintings, but little blessings. They'd be personalised for the person that recieved them, geared to their signs and elemental natures.

For example, if I were to make a Nature Spirit painting for me, I'd make a mermaid with long dark hair, with a dolphin, and a crab. She's water, like my star sign, and the dolphin represents my free spirit, and the crab represents my astrological sign. She would wear silver and pearls, my favourite metal and jewel.

Each person would have a different one. Example, my sister Helen would have a very earthy creature. A woman, with garden flowers and a baby goat. She'd have a ruby in there someone to represent her little girl, and a crown for her little boy.

Everyone that wanted one could have one. It wouldn't be expensive because they'd be small things you'd hang on your wall - maybe the size of a piece of paper. They wouldn't take me long to do because they'd be like a comic panel almost. And they'd mean a lot to the person recieving them because it would be personalised and something they could give to someone for an important occassion.

Question is, would you want one? What should I call them? I was thinking Spirit Paintings.

I'm going to do some test sketches and show you guys the results.

Please understand that the only reason I'm thinking of doing this is because I think it'd be a nice way to make some money. It'd bring me joy to paint pretty things and I figure they might mean something to the people recieving them. I'm really broke right now and the only way I can afford a new laptop is if I raise the money like this. If I can get a laptop, then I can get to writing my novel again. I just can't concentrate on the computer in my kitchen, plus sometimes I hurt so much I just want to sit on the couch or on my bed where it's comfortable and there are lots of pillows.

Anyway, I'm just throwing around some ideas so that I can keep things moving in my life. If it's a good idea, I'll set up a website or something. And stop spamming my friends list! LOL!
