The Big Reformat!
Nov. 28th, 2007 02:53 pmWell it seems, my dears, that my hard-drive is *riddled* with rootkits. SO, I'm going to have to reformat the fucking thing. This means transferring about forty gigs worth of stuff over on to my external harddrive and starting from scratch with C. My only problem with this is that we're not entirely sure which computer our copy of XP is registered to. I'll ask my bro when he comes in if he has a slightly less than legal copy. Who knows.
It's reinstalling all my essential software that's a fucker. My Macromedia MX suite, Adobe Photoshop CS2, Painter IX, PowerDVD, blah blah blah the list is HUGE. Not to mention all my Sims programmes and extension packs. I want to make sure they make the transition without being destroyed because I'll fucking CRY if I lose Arielle. And the Pottahs. Oh GOD and the fucking Microsoft suite!! Office, Excel, Powerpoint, GAAAH. This is going to take me days, I think.
I'll start now, though. So, point being, if I go quiet or whatever during the next seventy-two hours, know it's because I'm busy transferring the last five years of my life over to my LaCie drive.
