Well, I've woken up in a gloriously good mood this morning - probably due to the excess of anti-depressants I took last night. Nothing makes you feel on top of the world like 60 milligrams of paroxetine in one day. Gah! Anyways - I downloaded a couple of songs this morning. Downloading mp3s in the wee hours before our peak time comes on is a simple and evil little pleasure for me. The day before yesterday I downloaded the entire original DUNE soundtrack, and wow - Toto is a God. Not *the* God, but a God. Then today I heard 'Dizzy' on the radio by the original guy, and I thought, "Man, I so loved the remake of that... I wonder who did that."

Enter Audiogalaxy.com, my best friend in this growing addiction to new music. It's a risky game, trying to find a song that you can't exactly remember the name of the artist. I nearly downloaded goo goo dolls, and that would have been 3 megs of my bandwidth limit I never would have gotten back. Anyways, so I finally remember after looking through the lists of matches I got in the search - it's Vic Reeves and the Wonderstuff. Awesome! So I download it, and it brings a *huge* smile to my face. I so loved that song when I was 13. Seriously, I went spastic on it. It's an old friend. So that's my adventures before 7am. I'll be busking for money for a Mother's Day present today.

Oh, americans don't have that word. Busking is when a talented person goes out into the street, stands there with a hat on the floor (or something more creative like a ceramic frog or something) and plays music for money. If people are kind, they drop it in the hat. I have a strong belief that busking beautifies and adds to the aura of a town centre. Even if the person is bad. It's also great performance practice for younger artists trying to get some experience under their belts. Jewel used to practice in her time before stardom. One thing that must be noted though, is I am not Jewel. Jewel is the Anti-Nacey. Jewel is sexy but sad and heartbreaking. Nacey is not sexy (ha!) and boistrous, only wanting to get you to party. Well, I do slow songs too, but they aim to get you turned on rather than to make you want to slash your wrists. Don't get me wrong - I love Jewel. She's fabulous. I just have a different style. I'm just saying - she did busking too once.

Okay. 'nough O' that shiznit. I better get practicing! :)
