There was just a documentary on TV about the Ancient Olympics. They recreated the scenes of the athletes fighting and competing in ancient times, and they even took us into the locker rooms.

One very *important* thing to remember about the Olympic games back then is that all the boys... all of them... competed naked.

So, the series had all their actors romping around in *flesh coloured G-STRINGS*.

Muscled, taut, terrific, OILED men, WRESTLING, falling OVER, LEGS SPLAYED!!

EOIEOWIRHELWIN!!!!

*brain short circuits*

They were oiling the boys and dusting them and having CLOSE UPS ON THEIR FABULOUS ASSES and then SCRAPING THE BOYS of all their DUST AND GRIME AND OIL! *squeals*

There's another episode - NEXT WEEK!!! (SO GOTTA WATCH!!)

~~*~~

I watched Deep Impact tonight for the fun of it, and I noticed something. Elijah Wood's teeth are totally bizarre in it. They're like, perfectly straight, no gaps. Dude, he must have been wearing caps or something in it, cause you don't lose your gaps unless you have braces or something. They just weren't his teeth. He looked bizarre, he looked like a doll. It was all wrong. I like his wonky teeth. This episode made me realise the value of wonky teeth. They're character building. If they're like a row of piano keys, they're just plain scary.

And Elijah is so scary with perfectly straight teeth. Pretty, but not the Hobbit-type geek-boy I am hopelessly attracted to. *nods*

In other news - my brother dreamed about watching Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider, and I dreamed she kissed me, gave me a dizzy spell and made my lips go numb. I so got the better dream.

Till next time folks.

There were two such programmes on here recently- one of them might be the one you saw.

Apparently the BBC showed the athletes in those flesh coloured things and Channel 4 kept them nekkid via clever camera angles. Or vice versa- I missed both shows by not being able to tell the time.

Deep Impact would've been ok... but for the fact I CANNOT believe Robert Duvall can save the world. Will Smith, Bruce Willis, sure. NOT Robert Duvall.

*hugs*

HAHAhahahaha, Robert Duvall. Me and my brother mocked all the NASA scenes. I really don't dig disaster movies, but Deep Impact is one of the less nauseous. Dougray Scott. Ooh, woof!

I LOVE disaster movies- the key is to believing the world-saving people can actually save the bloody world!

And Dougray... would be better if he were there for more than thirty seconds altogether!

Yeah. He needed to run around, oiled, in a flesh-coloured G-string.

Except the word 'luminous', which I so fucking agree with. *goes back to Dougray in a flesh g-string and oiled land*

Damn, I love that cute geeky tooth gap too. It's just him. Stupid directors, always after physical perfection. Gotta respect PJ on that. He let his actor be who they are.

LOL I did notice in some recent closeups of Daniel Radcliffe that he has gorgeous teeth (which sort of go well with the gorgeous rest of him, that wicked boy). How can this be? He's British!! The British in general have horrible teeth. He's a freak, I tell you ;)

Yeah. I'd feel so embarrassed if a director said, "okay - we're going to make you wear these." *lifts up fake teeth*

Oh, they're not the perfectly straight piano keys that Elijah was forced to wear. Swear to God. Dan's teeth are normal straight. That is, they aren't perfect, but they are straight. Example? His front two teeth are a little longer than the rest of them. It gives him this excited gerbil look. I think it's SO cute. I really do. :)

I meant that his teeth are normal-straight looking, not perfect. Who REALLY has "perfect" teeth? Almost no one. Dan? Excited gerbil? Whatever could you mean?

And if you want a real laugh you need to check out this new RPG, http://www.livejournal.com/community/storge_space - it's post-OotP parody and IMO quite funny. Harry does, indeed, have a lot to be upset about, and this RPG gives a funny spin to his rage.

You mean you don't yet know of the humour of the excited Gerbil look?! Or the angry Gerbil look? Or the scared Gerbil look?! *gasps* For shame! I will have to educate you!!

My teeth looked better when I was a teenager than they do now because my upper teeth were straight until my wisdom teeth came in and pushed them together. But I can't see how that kind of thing could create a gap where none existed before, so you must be right about the dental work for the film. (Which I haven't seen since it came out, and didn't recall Lij was even in until LotR fans started mentioning it.)
