Well...I know I'm not going to win in the Smutfic category. Life will go on. Seriously though, Lucky might be daunting people because it's kind of long for a "short fic" (as are all of your "short" fics) AND it's an AU fic, but it wasn't long enough to be nominated in the novel-length AU category. I adore LUCKY, as you well know, but I've also read A Darkened Doorway and think that's a great fic. You're at a disadvantage because cheeringcharm (with whom I've also become friends) is very well-known at Portkey AND has written the novel-length JKR-universe fic that's running away with its category (and I've read that too and it's fantastic). Don't get down on yourself if your story doesn't win; you're still a fantastic writer, and your art is waaaaay up at the top of just about everyone's list:)*hugs*
