Okay folks. Those old enough to remember:

I want you to cast your mind back to the early 90s, specifically, those great dance hits some of us used to totally get off on. Do you remember them?

You wanna help me remember a few? Here's what I got so far:

Technotronic - Pump up the Jam
2 Unlimited - No Limit
Black Box - Ride on Time
MARRS - Pump up the Volume
Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer
Mr. Vain - Culture Beat
Supermodel - RuPaul
Groove Is In the Heart - Deeelite
Bust A Move - that guy (can't remember name)

Ones I want:

Spin That Wheel
That one that Queen Latifah did with "Ring My Bell" in it
One with the funny little rap in the beginning of the song that finishes, "And this is jaaam hot!"

Any help you guys can give would be awesome!

DeLite - Groove is in the Heart!

This is my only contribution, as I was still Country Music Fangirl #1 in the early nineties, as well as being in elementary school. ;)

Spin that Wheel can be found on the teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles original soundtrack. It too was done by Technotronic [how bad is is that I know this?]

Anything by C & C Music Factory, of course.

The KLF are good, especially if you can find the radio edit of Justified and Ancient with Tammy Wynette singing. Cracks me up everytime.

Right Said Fred's I'm too Sexy goes without saying but don't forget their Just Kiss. Don't know if you are including Evolver by the Grid or anything by Aqua, Ace of Base, and Prozzak.

Thanks for the last bunch of suggestions. I'm downloading all the stuff you're saying as we speak, as I needed to look through some charts to remember what I used to get into. God, I was such a boppin' little 12 year old kid. *laughs*

Bust A Move was Young MC I think.

I LOVED this song called "Do Anything" by a group called Natural Selection.

Just Like U by Robbie Neville

What I consider the first "techno" song (and I liked it back then) - Get Ready For This by 2 Unlimited

Something Good by Utah Saints
Rumpshaker - Wrexx And Effect
Ditty - Paperboy

I could go on and on.

You're going to get me going on this and I'll never be able to stop!

Anything by Salt-N-Pepa off the Very Necessary album, particularly Whatta Man and Shoop.

Also, You're Unbelievable by EMF (I think).

All that En Vogue stuff from the 90s is good, too. Free Your Mind is a good one.

I'm gonna have to go through all my CDs now. See what you did? :))

Oh I FORGOT about Free Your Mind! *downloads that one* I have Ebeneezer Goode - remember that one? And some Arrested Development! And Cyprus Hill! JUMP AROUND! Already onto the Salt-N-Pepa! There are a few songs I used to love that I just can't remember who did it. :T Very sad. Oh well.

Remember Snow and that song Informer? It got annoying after a while, but it was still fun. If for no other reason, than because we sat and tried to figure out the lyrics for hours on end.

A good idea might be to go over to VH1.com and check out their I Love the 90s section. That series is going to be starting on July 12th, so I'm sure they have loads of stuff up about the 90s.

You most likely have it, but I Like To Move It by Reel 2 Real is classic 90s techno. My personal favorite has got to be Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-a-lot. :D Some TLC might fit in as well, like Waterfalls and No Scrubs. Oh, god, and Spice Girls. Though that was later 90s. :-/

People even TRY to play either Oasis or REM at my party and I *will* kill them. :) Other than that - thanks for the help my love. *hugs*

Ohh Nance...

Akire and I were just commenting on your post. I mentioned how I now have Rhythm is a Dancer in my head, and she mentioned every time she sees the post, she starts hearing Pump up the Jam.

So she started singing/beating it. Then I joined in. WE HAD THE PERFECT RHYTHM.

*sigh*

Should someone send you money for discs and postage, would it be possible for you to burn a couple of discs of these?

I have severe download limits, fond memories of most of these, and a burning desire to hear them all again.
