I had a big long review of the movie, and the programme shut down. Just - FUCK!

In short, I liked it. Here's photos of me:

Me at Adam's house, and Tina obligingly posing in uniform. You can't see the full coolness of the uniform.

Here you can see the red/yellow trim on the sleeve.

Yay Gryffindor!

Me at the cinema.

Me talking to patrons. The lady in the red and black cloak is violeteyeddevil. (Hello!)

Contemplating the Snitch.

Check out my funky Cleansweep!! :)

This was supposed to be at the beginning.

I'm very upset. I want the Harry AND the Hermione doll that are Skipper sized. I want them so much! For my birthday coming on the 3rd, but I can't find them online! Does anyone know where I can find them and buy them?

Okay. Here's a Gryffindor Quidditch Team Song I wrote. :)

Gryffindor, Gryffindor,
Mighty Mighty Gryffindor.
Lions brave and virtues true
Strong and friendly gets us through.

Through wind and rain! (fight fight fight!)
Through sun and strain! (fight fight fight!)
Making it past every hitch
So that we can catch the Snitch!

Gryffindor, Gryffindor
Mighty, Mighty Gryffindor
Lions brave and virtues true
Strong and friendly gets us through!

It was a very long process of scouring op shops and stuff. What you need:

- vinyl (brown)
- red/maroon fabric (or different colours if you're in a different team)
- gold fabric
- a sewing machine with very strong needles
- Various bits and bobs like rope, eye punch and eyelets, and elastic straps.

What you must find:

- A red sweater, preferably with a yellow line across the top.
- A pair of light tan riding jodpurs
- A pair of boots
- A Gryffindor/whatever house patch.

Now, with a long process of measuring yourself, cutting out the appropriate shapes, sewing the body armour together and then finishing it off around the edges with reversed vinyl (which you paint tan), you then have your outfit. You can, conversely, go to op shops (thrift shops, second hand goods stores) and buy some cricket leg and arm guards, and paint them brown. Would be easier, I think.

The red cloak is a simple pattern (Butterick, I think) with the sleeves shortened, and the length shortened. It has a lining (the yellow) which is simply another cloak of the same size turned inside out and sewn to it.

Tina's costume is a matter of finding old grey jumpers, skirts, school socks and so forth and converting them with clever stitching. Oh, and the cloak is the same pattern as I used with the Quidditch gown, but not shortened.

Okay, that's it I think. If you want to know any more, or ever want help making your own, gimme a shout.

Heh. This is why I'm dating a complete freak. We once went to a fair and he was painted up like a cheetah and wearing a tail. He's done that heaps of times, so he can't ever criticise me for my behaviour.

Besides, I think he actually likes it. *giggles*

Excellent costumes, both of you! (Me, I'm just going to knit myself a Ravenclaw scarf -- and sew a Ravenclaw patch onto it -- and consider it good enough.)

Dude. You look awesome. :D

Wish I had the resources for something that elaborate. Or the time. Or the money. *sigh*

I want those dolls too. :P I got mini figurines that at least can be wrapped in each others arms. They (the Harry and Hermione ones) haven't let go since I put them that way. I think they like it. ^_^

See ya!
