I swear to God, it's like Gabrielle/Joxer all over again. Knowing my luck, H/Hr will turn out like Gab/Jox too! (shudders at the thought).

Why do people have to be so freakin' rude? It drives me crazy. *growls*. Anyway, I have an RP to write for, and Lori's story to draw for, and my own art to finish. *nods and sighs*

What did they say?

And I don't know who Gab/Jox are, but I take it they didn't end up together?

Well, they were going to, then they got rid of Joxer. It was a very close call. Gabrielle was getting jealous of him and everything. Then she ended up with Xena. :T (they never SAID they were together, they strongly, strongly, indicated as such).

Now, as far as the H/Hr goes, some dick was accusing *us* of coming up with the "Ron as Death-Eater" idea because we see Ron as a threat.

Uhm... what about a big fat NO?! I love Ron! I just hate ignorant twonks who seem to think they know everything about the fandom, and the books. They're all like, "What fucking planet are those weirdo H/Hr's living on? R/Hr is SO going to happen!"

9_9 Gag me. I hate that fucking attitude, it shits me to tears. We simply *don't KNOW* what is going to happen, you know? Anyway, I should just forget about it and get back to my art.

I know exactly what you mean. We are also not allowed to have actual thoughts on Ron as a character. If we don't like some things Ron does, we are *obviously* swayed only by shipping and cannot possibly analyze a character separate from our ship. Meh, it irks me as well.

At least most H/Hr's can admit that it's *possible* that it will turn out R/Hr.

It's the sheer arrogance of some people that shits me. I mean, if I were on another planet, would I be taking time and effort to draw Cho Chang, of all people? No! I love the whole freakin' series, not just two characters! 9_9 Anyway, I got my bitchin' out of my system now. I just hope people don't think I dislike R/Hr's, cause I don't, at all, dislike them. I just dislike arrogant twats.

I think it's unlikely it'll turn out R/Hr... because it's been a bit too obvious. If anyone was actually paying ATTENTION to the books, they might notice that the obvious things rarely happen. :p

R/Hr shippers are crazy.

Except for me. I am the model of the un-crazy. But then, I'm not in HP fandom, so maybe that saved me. :p

Crazy, and the most numerous. I love them anyway, because, for the most part, they're really great people. It's just the few that spoil it, yaknow?

I'm still halfway through that R/Hr picture for you, btw. I got a bit distracted by work and being sick and stuff. Oh, and that pesky boyfriend of mine (they tend to take up one's time. Damn! I was out with him last night at his house, and he spent the whole time watching Adaptation, and I fell asleep on the couch. Oh well. I'm too sick to snog him anyway). He looks like a cross between Tobey Maguire and Alan Cummings. (Yeah, it's that one again). *^_^*

Wow. You are, no kidding, the first R/Hr fan I have ever seen who doesn't think it's likely to happen in the books but likes the pairing anyway. All the other permutations are a dime a dozen -- likes R/Hr and thinks it'll happen, likes H/Hr and thinks it'll happen, likes H/Hr and think's it won't happen -- but you are unique in my experience. (And I spend way too much time lurking at various ship-debate forums.)

*fangirls you*

Oh, yeah, and on the topic of the post --- what Nancy said, that works for me. Yeah.

LOL! Yay! I'm unique! :D

I'd be lying if I said I didn't WANT it to happen... but she's just making it a BIT too obvious, and that's not her style in my opinion.

I mean... whenever you're reading one of the books... she drops all these fake hints about what's going to happen, and they're subtle and quite convincing--and always wrong.

That's what the Ron/Hermione is like. It's subtle and seems to be pretty obvious... which means, I think, that she's trying to throw us off track. :p

Or am I giving this too much thought. LOL!

It's hard not to give the books too much thought. Sometimes I just sit there and wonder what's going to happen next, cause there's all these clues and it's all so complex and then I'm like, "Woah, hang on, geeking out, back to reality time!" Either that or I geek onto something else *^_^* Or get distracted by other things (yay! Foreplay!)

Possible? Personally, I think it's almost a certainty ;_; I have this slimp hope that JKR is not going to take the easy way out (love == hate, right!) and that she's planting all that delicious subtext on purpose - but meanwhile I'm preparing myself for disappointment.

Another thing I've noticed is that there are H/Hrs that really dislike Ron, but it's because they don't like the character, not because they think he's a threat or anything like that... But a very vocal faction of the R/Hrs use it as "proof" that we know our ship is "doomed" and we live in denial and stuff like that. They are very rude about that, too.

To be fair, I'm sure some H/Hrs *do* think that Ron is OMG!!!EVIL! because they dislike the R/Hr ship, just as some R/Hrs say that Harry W1ll Totally Di3!!!!DUD3! because they dislike H/Hr. Unfortunately ship bashers like to group all the members of one ship, regardless of their IQ, in one big lump - so if one member of a ship is a moron then they treat every member of the ship as a moron. And that's not cool.

That's one of the reasons why I stay away from ship debate - you can have an informed interesting debate with many members of the opposed ships, but then there are always the ones who spoil the fun for all of us. So, yeah, staying away from most public forums is the best way I've found to keep myself unstressed.

See, that's the thing. I avoid that stuff like the plague (you notice that, right? I'm always drawing and keeping to myself and my ship buddies, mostly). But I was wondering what people were saying about Dan's idea that Harry will die, and well - I walked into a big steaming pile of not-nice. So, I won't be reading the comments again. Ever.

Have you ever checked out the Yahoo Group HPforGrownups? There's tons of discussion on things like that (you could search the archives, even, if you don't want to bring it up new), and very little nastiness.

Just don't mention the movie in your question if you post. The mods are pretty decent, but they're strict on separating movie-related posts off into the ghetto of a related group.

I'm R/Hr forever, but honestly--it makes NO SENSE that the woman who can keep you guessing until the last page of a book about what is going to happen would make the Ron/Hermione hook up as obvious as it has been in the books. Usually when she drops little clues all through the books, it's really only to confuse you.

*sniffles*

So my little R/Hr heart is going to get broken. I'm almost sure of this.

I'll cry.

But I wish we could BOTH get what we wanted! Cause I like R/Hr too, believe it or not! I was R/Hr before I ended up H/Hr!! (At the very beginning when I first saw the movies, and was halfway through the first book).

Anyway, at least you're not like, "It is SO GOING TO HAPPEN YOU IDIOT!" which, I'm sad to say, there are people out there that are like that. Ignore them, I must ignore them.

The important thing is whether Harry lives or not. To me anyway. That's the major thing. If he dies, I will cry soooo hard. :( It's bad enough Sirius bit the big one. I miss that dumb dog.

Hugs,
Nancy.

WORD. DOUBLE WORD. etc. If JKR kills Harry there will be wailing and moaning heard around the world, and I'll be at the head of the crying line.

I like Cho. Isn't that strange? I mean, I'll call her every name under the sun for some of the things she did to Harry, but I mean, she's a young girl. Young girls do stupid things to boys they like. (Feck, I know I have). Plus, I like imagining her having mad naughty sex with Ginny. *looks evil* Ginny's a closet-case. A roving sexual predator. I just know it. *giggles* I'm joking. Kinda. I just like writing her and drawing her like that, even if she's not exactly like that in the books. But anyway. I love the Weasleys, I really do. Oh, except Percy, who's a slobbering twat. :-P *laughs*

Yeah, it's the 'I'm right and this is the great faith' kinda attitude that shits me. It's a BOOK!! *shakes head*. It's an excuse for me to draw funky fantasy pictures, dress up in ridiculous costumes and talk to complete strangers. I'm not going to use it as an excuse to get heavy on people who disagree with me on its contents.

I wander in TLC's comments section from time to time for shits and giggles. Not unlike AICN's talkback, I'm amused by how openly rude some folks can get either not caring or totally oblivious to it. Like the idea of having friends in both the R/Hr and H/Hr factions would be sacreligious. The sun rises and sets on HP shipperdom and everyone who doesn't agree is an idiot and doesn't deserve to live.

Multi-levels of humor to be had, allbeit a little masochistic. All I ask is that if you're going to insult me, at least do it with spellcheck d00d.

Most definitely the comments (sorry I didn't make that clear). TLC has the info (and no pop-ups ::glares at Mugglenet::), but seriously, besides the occassional giggles I get from the comments section it's just best not to go there. Usually I just assume the nastier of the posters there are either well under the legal drinking age or are over it and abusing the priviledge (drinking, insane shipping 'tude and internet access? Not a good combo).
