1) I'm engaged to and have been living with my wonderful catwho for the past 2 years. 2) I'm done with coursework and am trying to finish my Ph.D. in the question, "How do anime fans (not) teach and learn about Japanese culture from anime and each other?" That is, if my committee would let me finish (bleh). 3) I now teach education courses part-time (pushing hard as I can for full-time) at the college level to people who want to become teachers; it's good stuff. I rarely go by "Prof.", and if I do, it means I want something. =P
Glad to see you got nancylorenz.com and made a good design of it. And yes, you needed an LJ. Gotcha on my friend's list from now on, yay!
Oh my GOSH! ENGAGED!! I'm so HAPPY FOR YOU!!! And you're a SMART TYPE PERSON!!! *does the dance of joy* Hey!! You totally need to join the GJRS list on here! Just cause all the core people from our day are. I still talk to Kawwy and Xebbie and Findle and Mel Bradley. They're all in my friends list!! Xebbie got married!!! Kawwy is in university now (she all growed up!) And I'm still in the same fucking place as I was before *laughs* But I wrote some good songs and had a boyfriend and stuff, so it's not like I've been up to nothing. :) Oh it's SO good to hear from you again!! *hugs*
Actually I got on the GJRS list before I thought, "Hrm, wonder what that Nancy's been up to all these years?" So here I am. =D Good to hear from you too!
BTW, I notice you've been into X-Men stuff since Xena (your LJ handle says it all). I rented it a couple of months back; wasn't bad at all. It's probably one of the few U.S. comic book-type stuff I go for these days. The rest of my favorite comics are either manga (obvious enough) or webcomics.

Like that French cat, who got white paint on her back, causing Pepe le Pew to think she was a female skunk?
