Yay me DVDs!!

I got two DVDs nobody likes today! I guess that's why I got one of them out of the bargain bin!

- Dune (The David Lynch Movie) Three Hour non-director's cut. (David Lynch was like, THis isn't MY cut!) Everyone that likes Dune hates this movie. I know, cause it's not like the book. Well, I just like it as a movie. Cause I don't have the dosh to get the books and read them (actually my bro just moved in - he might have it) nor do I have the concentration for such hard books. I just like looking at the pretty Kyle. Mmmm. Kyle. Screen shots. Kyle. Mmmm.
- Lord of the Rings (don't get excited yet) - the cartoon by Ralph Bakshi. I don't care what anyone says, Frodo is DEAD cute in it and I love the Gollum and the animation is fucking AWESOME and all the boys are wearing skirts. Fucking rocks. So there.

Anyway I'm going to enjoy these DVDs now. Wheeeee!

no, dude, see, every version of Dune is fantastic. Any version at all. Even the David Lynch version. none will ever match the joy that is Children of Dune (with, I swear, teh most canon-incest ever), but still, v. cool.

Oh my GOD. This version I bought? Complete SHIT. Bad quality, and the added scenes? They fucking put this dickhead narrator in, and killed the groovy 80s music - THEY KILLED IT!!! I hate it. I feel so robbed. I'm glad it only cost me fifteen bucks. :(

Right about the bit in the Lynch movie where Paul is whining "The worms. The spice. Could they be connected.". Every single time I see that I want to stand up and scream at the screen "Oh DUH!"
