I went in thinking he would fake his death, since that's what happened in this story, but I still cried like baby. They are evil, amazing bastards :)

I'ts been nearly a week since I saw that episode and it's still eating my brain. And that was having read the Holmes stories beforehand and knowing that there was going to be a series 3 so he couldn't really be dead!

Oh God yes. I was shaking when the episode finished, and talking with friends afterward I remember describing it as being so emotionally intense it was almost hard to watch. Like alomost "oh my God, I can't take this amount of feelings for much longer, I need a break" intense.

And oh God, the acting was just SO DAMN GOOD.

I knew he was alive, but it was still awful to watch, with the brainmeats all over the pavement.

We are still waiting for next season to see if Karens idea about why he had a squash ball earlier in the episode is correct.

When I saw Sherlock at the cemetery at the end I was SO RELIEVED, despite being sure beforehand that they wouldn't really kill him. It was just... all that BLOOD!
