Seriously? I could watch Captain America's bouncing man-titties for hours.

Pectorals: Nacey's Happy Place. (I'm lucky to have a boyfriend with quite a pair).

Random aside - isn't the dude that played Captain America also the guy that played The Torch in Fantastic Four, or am I tripping?

ETA: Steve Roger's romance with his best friend is so adorbs. ;-)

ETA2: AAAH! Captain America was an awesome movie! Can't wait for the Avengers! :D :D

Yep, same actor. Guess it'll be interesting if they decide to do a Captain America/Fantastic Four Team-Up film.

I wonder if this is their way of saying, "Yeah, those movies never happened."? I mean, I didn't think they were that bad, but they had Ioan Gryffydd in it. I'd watch him read addresses out of a phone book for three hours.

I was surprised at how much I adored Captain America, given that I came to the backstory cold and was never particularly enamored of Chris Evans. But that was my favorite summer movie, hands down.

Chris Evans was ADORABLE. Holy shit, I've never seen his Woobie!Face before but it was so HEARTRENDING. He's such a sweet fuckin' character who means so well. I mean, I was like, "Okay, another superhero movie, this one obviously totally patriotic, with a white, blond, straight male lead. This'll probably be terrible."

It totally WASN'T. The woman character in it was awesome and kick-ass and NOT in a "Woah, isn't her TOUGHNESS SEXY?" kinda way, the romance was really time appropriate and not slobbery or sleazy!

And I liked his group of crack troop soldiers. The joke about the American Asian being from (I forget the place but it's near San Fransisco, I think) was fantastic, and the African American being studied and knowing French was also great.

So many good characters in it. And Hugo Weaving! Holy shit he was BRILLIANT as the villain! He ate that role up with a friggin' SPOON. The make-up and effects were incredible! And his natural creepy skull face worked so well with the make-up and effects!

I also saw Thor yesterday. What did you think of that one?

Oh, I liked Thor, too. I didn't find his cockiness as off-putting as some did, because he was *trying* so hard. And there were some great female characters--Jane! Darcy! And Sif! Yesterday someone (maybe [livejournal.com profile] musesfool?) said they wanted to write a Sif/Steve Rogers fic and I said, "I would read the hell out of that fic." Because I totally love that idea. And Woobie!Steve is so adorkable. *sigh* And Peggy was awesome, which made the ending even more heartrending.

Guess what my kids are getting for Christmas? ;)
