Dear Paul McGann,

Look, I know you have a thriving career as a narrator for documentaries. I keep hearing you narrate all sorts of things but let's face it - I don't know if it's going to work for me in the way it's intended.

Not because you don't have a beautiful speaking voice - you do. That's the problem. Your speaking voice is so fucking gorgeous, it reminds me of the rest of you, which is also fucking gorgeous.

Which leads me to sitting there while watching a documentary, pondering the extreme fucking hotness of Paul McGann, and not, say, the subject matter of the documentary itself. In the end, it adds up to the same thing - I've just sat there for an hour, staring at a television and thoroughly enjoyed myself. But if you asked me what that documentary was about, I couldn't really tell you.

I could tell you, however, that I just spent an hour trying to understand what it is about your voice that is so distracting in the first place. I still haven't figure it out. The accent? The timbre? The intonation? The tone? I don't know. Maybe it's cause I keep picturing you in all my favourite roles you've been. From the actor in Withnail and I, that scrummy captain dude in Hornblower, the fucking DOCTOR.

I partly blame this on listening to the 8th Doctor Radio Plays. I became so in tune with your vocal inflections in that, because I was relying on that entirely to follow the story. Now I just can't help but get swept away by those very vocal inflections when watching documentaries.

As a result, I'm sadly not learning a thing from the docos you narrate. Sorry. But it's not your fault, seriously. I'm just a woman with a short attention span and a hair-trigger libido. Anyway, just thought you should know. I keep watching the documentaries you narrate, though. Definitely.

<3 forever,
Nacey.

What documentary was this? Just out of . . . educational curiosity.

Well, it's called "What's The Problem With Nudity?"

And I'm just going to leave that with you. :-P

I have a similar problem watching any learning show that Chris Barrie narrates or hosts. Luckily, they're mostly about cars and machines, and I already know quite a bit about those. *G*

Hah. He's got such a humourous, barbed voice, but there's a certain smoothness to his drawn-out vowels that could certainly sound quite sexy. So I can definitely understand that one.

Just as I was reading your words "purrrr" my cat decided to vomit in the hallway. Weird!

Now that my attention is no longer being taken up by cat vomit, I can return the much more pleasant task of discussing the sexiness of Paul McGann. Let's see, where was I? Oh yes.

*drool*, *thud*.
