Hey everyone.

I'm really, super, totally pissed off. See, I thought I cancelled all my business with GoDaddy.com, but I missed one service - the auto-renew service that goes to my fucking credit card. Directly.

They just billed be a hundred fucking bucks for a year's hosting, which, you know, I've never used because they never fucking helped me install stuff, even though I tried contacting them through their customer support ticket service.

I am SO ANGRY right now. I'm desperate for that money, I can't tell you. And I feel like that money is wasted if I can't get it back, because they WILL NOT help me install the fucking Joomla software I needed to build a website.

I just want to cry. :(

Maybe try going not through Godaddy, but through your credit card company for a chargeback on the basis that you were charged for services not supplied.

Clearly, I have to hit either Bank of Queensland or Visa on Monday. So angry, I want to cry. :(

I agree with lauredhel - your best bet is probably going to your bank and seeing if you can get the charge taken off or something. Good luck! ♥

That said when I was *really* broke earlier this year and I'd forgotten one auto service debit, I emailed them and explained and they were awesome and responded with 'sure, we understand, thanks for contacting us and thinking we're awesome'. Mind you the key bit there was that they responded so I don't think I'd hold my breath on that in this situation.

Not sure how big a site you are dealing but FYI I put my website on 5gigs.net. I think they support Joomla on their free accounts, and you basically just have to click next a bit from their control panel. I don't really know since I am just using it as a stable location to link to my papers.
