Hornblower Observations

logansrogue- I'd forgotten how painfully beautiful Ioan Gruffudd is, and how YOUNG he was in this show. But then, I was young when I watched it and grokked him. :D
- It's so bloody homoerotic.
- Most of the time, a complete lack of women in a show puts me off. But the homoeroticism kind of makes up for it somehow. Don't ask me how, I don't know why.
- I'm enjoying the accents, the obscure but talented British Actor cameos and all the costumes.
- The boats are gorgeous. I love boats! Boats, boats, boats, BOATS!
- Ioan Gruffudd gets wet a lot. He's hot in the uniform. He's just as hot out of it.
- There are too many opportunities in the dialogue for me to make dirty double entendres. I'm droppin' Trish D'Lish style shit here.
- This episode I'm watching, Hornblower is learning how to be a good leader with his crew, and to care about them but be a firm leader. I can see where Roddenberry was inspired by him when he created Captain Kirk.
