logansrogueI've been watching episodes of the Fourth Doctor with Romana, and I kinda wish she'd turn up in the new episodes. I know it's crazy, but if the Master can make it out of the Time War, why not her? She's as brilliant as the Doctor, if not even more brilliant, why couldn't she make it out? I know, it's supposed to be all tragic that he's the last of his kind, blah blah blah. Thing is, they never had that in the old episodes and I kinda liked it that way. It was great having the Doctor continually snub his nose at his folks back home. Now he waxes poetic and it's kind of jarring. Just once I'd like to hear him rag on those bastards like he used to.
I sometimes ponder an updated Romana, or an updated K-9. I just love K-9. I love the dynamic between him and the Doctor. It's corny but it's fucking adorable. Mostly it works because Tom Baker is so delightfully batshit that he makes it work. You believe that dog capable of anything when Four matter of factly sends the little fucker off for something.
But I'm tired and I'm sore so what will probably happen is that I'll take my glasses off, play animal crossing on my DS and fall asleep for a few hours. Wii has not replaced the DS's compactness. No indeed.

ROMANA: Doctor!!
DOCTOR: You're still in your second incarnation?
ROMANA: Well.. yes. I've been careful. Why, what life are you up to?
DOCTOR: (mutters) Eleven...
And so on and so forth.

And he spends as much time in the past as the future, so presumably much of the time he's in a time period where the other timelords are still alive. Or was that explained away due to complicated time war stuff?
