Odd dream...

I had a dream I tasted some good beer. And it was. My God, it was beer from heaven. I don't even LIKE beer and it was good beer. It was sharp on the pallate but malty and smooth, bright golden and so so cold, it went right to my bones. It was the most thirst-quenching, wonderful beer I'd ever tasted. You remember when you were a kid and you saw those beer ads, like the Vic Bitter ads, where the guys would be taking looooong happy pulls on their pint glasses, and the beer was golden and chill looking, and you imagined what the beer must taste like? And then you actually tasted beer one day and was bitterly disappointed?

Well, this beer in my dream tasted exactly how I imagined it should taste. But actually LIKE beer. It was crazy. Now I want a beer, but I can't have a beer because alcohol makes me depressed. And it's full of wheat. *nods*

I dream about strange things sometimes.

I think your subconscious is telling you that you are ready to drink beer. Maybe low alcohol beer, just the occasional one on a hot summers day. Man I love beer.

Only some beer is full of wheat. Most of it is full of barley.

I don't think I'll ever really like drinking beer, but I love it in cooking! ♥ Sjömansbiff, which I have no idea if there even is an English equivalent of, is one of my favorite dishes and you can really taste the way the beer in it has been ingrained with the meat and the potatoes. (It's a all in one pot kind of dish, with meat, potatoes, carrots, onions and beer, and maybe some spices and water, I dunno. I need to learn the recipe for it.)

But beer that tastes like it looks like it's doing in a commercial must be fucking awsome!

It was! Sadly I've rarely tasted beer like that. The best beer I've tasted, and I don't even like beer, is beer by Little Creatures Brewery here in WA. It's so very, very lovely, almost like I described up there. The Pale Ale is like that anyway, the Rogers is a little more fruity and darker. But very lovely beer indeed!
