I downloaded and burnt a video about the house cat onto a CD. It's a light-weight Discovery Channel affair, with pretty graphics, nice visuals and a lot of basic easy factoids to swallow. It made the mistake of thinking that cats and humans had only been palling around for 4000 years, when in actual fact, it's more like 12,000. But overall, a nice little easy-viewing documentary.

Rogue fucking loved it. Seriously, she came down to the lounge once she heard the meowing from the TV and sat behind me and watched the entire freakin' show. I mean, she looked away sometimes, cats don't have an endless attention span, but she kept looking back and that this sort of contented, intrigued look on her face. It was awesome.

I need to start a collection of 'cat videos' now. It was fun watching TV with my cat!

My Joe likes to watch my BF play shoot-em-up games on his PC.We joke he's giving him tactical advice.

Uhm, not quite. I make a stupid fuss of my cat and I refer to myself as "mummy" and she has toys and treats and her special spots in the house, but I'm quite aware that it's an animal with a different intelligence to us and different emotional ranges.

I just don't care. LOL!

One of those birthday presents I've gotten over the years that stick out because they've been the obvious perfect present for me at first sight after removal of gift wrap, was a National Geographic special on cats. It was awsome, although I wonder how much of the info is dated these days. On the video they had just realised that the intelligence of cats could be examined in experiments if you appealed to their curiousity instead of insulting their independence. (Treating them like dogs who does whatever you tell them to, that is.)

Messybeast.com has some really amazing information on cat intelligence if you're interested. It's a *great* website and I spend ages poring over it. :D

I wanna see that documentary now!
