As a man without a uterus (or a chronic pain affliction, for that matter) I can't begin to imagine the extent of your travails. But I'm there for you in spirit.

I know exactly how you feel. When I tell people about it, I say "The gaping wound between my thighs is asserting its femininity"

They laugh, which is good, because then, at least someone is. I'm surely not.

I have to joke about it or I'd go insane, really. Same with my nephew when he got seriously ill. When we thought he was going to die, one thought kept popping into my head. Mum, for weeks, has been pushing this burnt copy of The Mummy 3 onto Cati to show Johnny cause she figured Johnny would like it. When it looked like he wasn't going to make it, I said to my sister: "I don't know why, but this thought keeps going in my head... 'At least he didn't have to watch The Mummy 3'" Which is a TERRIBLE joke but that sliver of black humour in me couldn't let it go until I told somebody about it. I'm insanely glad that he's much better and that he's going to see that terrible fucking movie.
