OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!

THOSE WERE THE BEST EPISODES OF THE NEW DOCTOR WHO I HAVE EVERY BLOODY SEEN! OH MY FUCKING GOD!! OH MY FUCKING, FREAKING, FLIPPING, FRIGGING GOD!!!!!

...

*pants*

...

*pants more*

OH MY GOD. Okay, I know you Doctor/Rose fans must be fucking DANCING IN THE FUCKING AISLES! But it's a weird victory, innit? I mean, she got him, but she didn't get him! FUCKING WEIRD! REALLY FUCKING WEIRD! But you GOT THE KISS! And they'll be making BABIES! OH MY GOD IT'S SO CUTE! (But WEIRD cause she looks SO MUCH LIKE MY NIECE and she lost weight, Billie I mean, not my niece, and did something to her teeth so she looked all butch but SHE WAS SOOOO COOL OH MY GOD!).

Donna FUCKING NOBLE IS MY HERO. SWEET FUCKING CHRISTMAS, that woman FUCKING RULES.

...

OH MY GOD! DOCTOR-DONNA IS HALF DONNA! DONNA/ROSE IS CANON! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! *falls over*

Wow. Okay. Calming down now. I'll trawl through the friends list now I can safely peruse. WOW. Just WOW!!!

I'm so glad Donna didn't actually die. That would have broken my heart. :( It's sad she's forgotten everything. But I guess, as the Doctor said, you have to pay a price for everything. :T Bit of a slippery bit of character work. Plus the Doctor-Mind-Meld pisses me off.

But I thoroughly enjoyed those episodes. Wow. Super wow.

I cried... I /so/ cried...

I sat and watched with my family, on the nice big tv (though I'm going to watch it again later on the net... because... well it was so fucking good). When the episode finished, my brother and I exchanged glances and said to each other,

"Right then. Off to save a dalek."
Callum (nephew), said, "Which dalek?"
"Any dalek. Doesn't matter." brother said.

No one else got it. *sighs*

As much as they're mortal enemies, I personally can't see the Doctor happily allowing genocide, much less being the 'one' responsible for it.

As I said to another Doctor Who fan, I'm easy to impress.

I used to watch Xena, for God's sakes. LOL!

As a Doctor/Rose shipper... yeah. No dancing in the asiles. That shit was weird and all types of wrong.

See, the longer I thought about it, the more I realised that in the sneakiest sort of way, the Rose/Ten shippers were gypped.

i seriously thought donna was going to be killed off, but the ep was soppy enough without that.

not my fave ep (it is hard to compete with blink though) not even in my top ten, mainly because of the sop. if they took out about 15 mins from the ep, it would have been brilliant

I am actually more annoyed about it the more I think about it. Because they really didn't SELL that he was the same as The Doctor. I didn't even think he would survive the episode. It was also really sad that The Doctor himself would never get to be with her, and I don't find it true to Rose's character to have settled for a copy. Yes, at first glance it seems like this beaut thing where she can live with him and grow old and it's lovely. But it's horrible when you think of the implications.

This is true. But then again - I'm not a shipper of any sort. The Doctor being alone doesn't actually bother me all that much. He's never alone for long. I feel there's no point in shipping in Doctor Who, really, I just enjoy the character interactions. I just don't see the Doctor as a character that takes part in romance. He has to be changed in some way (made human, etc) or for the other party to be not human for it to work. (I don't know what to make of the Silent Library episode yet, I really hated that woman).

Maybe I'm just too attached to the old series or something. I mean, I find Tennant EXTREMELY HOT but I've not seen a character yet (in the new series) that I could see him spend a very long time with.

That said, I do feel sad for the shippers that this is how it ended. It was open-ended before, and fic-wise, they would work with it.

My shipping is more in the Companion/Doctor kind of way. I found her interaction with him fun to watch both in the Eccleston and Tennant incarnations. I liked that he was teaching her and she was teaching him. I liked that the Doctor FOUND someone who DIDN'T want to leave him but also understood that she could probably never BE with him... that she would die in the end. I think I enjoyed that they loved each other, even if they couldn't be with each other. Rose never actively tried to start anything else with him, she just didn't want to be without him. And I think the same goes for the Doctor. I DIDN'T like how Martha really DID want him in a more sexual way, and kept bringing it up. Rose felt more organic and Martha forced in their relationship with the Doctor. Donna started out being forced because they KEPT bringing up the idea that they WEREN'T together. Writers should just let things happen naturally.

I think the hardest thing to do in writing is to know when to step back and let the viewer/reader make the logical leap. I say that it's the hardest because so many published/paid writers seem to make that very mistake.

And I enjoyed their interactions the way you did too. There are a lot of people that DO want to see the Doctor and Rose do the horizontal oingo-boingo, so I never know. Sorry I made the wrong assumption.

Yeah, I know. So many writers seem to have problems with it. I just think that Rusty has been doing it so long he should know better!

That's cool! I never wanted them together for the sake of them being together. I think their relationship is really sweet. I think that in the past the Doctor was too old and fatherly, or too asexual for anything like this to develop. If the Doctor regenerates younger then it follows that a companion is going to develop feelings for him, because the Doctor has an attractive mind and personality; it's his age that seems the problem. Plus, he's always so lonely. It makes sense that if he finds someone he connects with he will develop feelings. Whether their love was sexual or not is a different question, but it was above all that I think.

I dunno. I wouldn't have kicked him out of bed when he was Tom Baker Doctor. But I have an extremely strange taste in men.

Lol.

Baker wasn't too bad. But didn't he end up getting together with his companion IRL?

He just keeps breaking my heart.
Every single season, breaking my heart.
And yet, I come back for more...
So does that make me codependent? Hahaha!
I cried so hard those last couple of episodes. They were beautiful. I cried even more than I did during the library episodes. WOW!!!

Pretty amazing, huh? And every time he's alone, I'm sitting there wibbling, "It's okay, Doctor, you have MEEEEEE!"

I am such a sad bitch. LOLOL!

Not happy that they got rid of Donna. First companion in a while that I was completely happy with and they get rid of her.

I know, it sucks, but I didn't expect Catherine Tate to stick around for too long cause she's a busy comedienne with her own career, ya know?
