He couldn't email me today because the internet is down at the mining site. I sent him some really good emails, too. I miss him even more now that I've met him, I've kissed him, I've held him. He just makes my blood feel like fire. Such a sweet, sweet, amazing guy.

The fireplace is going. We haven't had our old fireplace going in a long time. The smell of burning wood and the intense heat is so lovely in this cold weather. Kinda makes winter really enjoyable. Pity about the shitty carbon emissions.

I burnt myself on it, though. I thought my bandaid would insulate me against the heat and it didn't. Silly silly me. I have to keep wetting the bandaid and keep it cold.

*sigh* I miss my darling man.

I understand completely. Now that I've held him, not seeing him for 3 months is killing me...and him. I guess at least I know he misses me just as much. Just 7 weeks until I get to spend a week with him. And then I won't see him for 6 months. T-T

*nodnod* Yep. We were together for the first time on my vacation in May. I'm going down to see him at the beginning of August for a week, but then from the middle of August to December I'm going to be in school. He lives about 8.5 hours away from my home and about 15 away from my school, and he works so I dunno if he'd be able to get time off to come and see me.

But it's ok, we're used to being apart; as much as we both hate it. But we talk on the phone every chance we get. His voice is like catnip to me, so for the moment I'm okay as long as I can hear him. =^.^=

YAY Im so happy for you :)

Im trying to figure out the whole wood fir is bad thing. If I grow my own trees and are using pruned wood.... thats not so bad tree wise but Id like to know what is worse - the burning of the wood OR all the power/coal/gas used to heat in other ways???

Yeah, it's a bugger, that one. I assume the smoke would be bad for the environment, and if our gas wasn't short at the moment, I'm sure using it would be better than wood.

I tell you, though. The fire take's the edge off the cold SO WELL. The gas heater is okay, but it takes a really long time for the heat to build up from the lounge. The natural fire is like "BOOM!" Heat!
