So my doctor has prescribed me Tramal. He seems to think that it'll be fine, even though I'm on two pills that can have bad effects if taken with it. I'm on Endep and I'm on Lovan (Prozac).

I know there are a few of you on my friends list that seem to know things about pharmacology. The pharmacist and the doctor talked and told me to try it out. I'm officially terrified. Should I try it?

I have a big party this weekend. Perhaps I should try it after the party? I dunno! :T

Well, if you're interested, here is the website that gives more information on exactly what Tramal is - all information is on PDF files, though.

aaarrrgghh tramal - i LOOOOVE tramal!

i dont have any experience with taking it with any other (precribed) medications though...

and if you HAD to take it regularly (which i'm assuming you may have to do) i can see that it could become quite addictive.

Don't stress about it. There's a small risk of interaction between tramal and Endep, and tramal and lovan, but I remember a talk given by a colleague a couple of years ago where he had scoured the medical literature looking for reports of bad things happening because of tramal, and came up with nothing beyond the expected nausea and constipation.

It's benign in the way Panadeine forte is.

It can do, for some people. I found that taking tramadol didn't leave me feeling anywhere near as weird as, say, Panadeine Forte, but your experience may be different.

I tried the fast-acting stuff tonight. It made me sleepy and I didn't really notice any difference in the pain. I might have to work up a dose like the doctor said.

Thanks. I got your email - I will answer it. I've just been totally wiped out today after the party I went to last night!
