[Nacey is cradling her kitty Rogue, singing "You Made Me Love You" to her and rocking her gently]

Mum: [walking past] Nancy, have a baby. You're not supposed to be singing lullabies to a cat!

Nacey:... [frown]

This is not strange at all. We do all kinds of cuddly stuff with Ollie. He *likes* it too :-P

Hmm, then I must really be pathetic, since I've done similar stuff with my stuffed cat. Hey, I've had it most of life and I don't have to worry about hugging it to death. And it's cute...

I don't think it is bad or pathetic at all to sing lullabies to your cat!
Pets are love.

I said to Mum after that, "No, Rogue's fine. I don't have to change her nappy."

I think Mum wants the babies more than I do. LOL!

I have a knock-off cabbage patch kid from when I was five that I still cuddle and treasure. We should always take care of the inner child, methinks.

*hugs* The cat is lucky. Not everyone gets jazz sung to them lovingly on a regular basis. :)

LOL! Sometimes, when Dad decides to play his German polka music, Debbie likes to get Ollie up on his hind legs (holding his front paws like "hands") and she makes a big fuss out of it. He jumps around on his hind legs like he's dancing.

We've also discovered that he's rather fond of polka music. He'll sit in front of the CD player and cock his head back and forth. Sometimes he'll stand in front of it, wagging his tail. What a gooberhead!

Has she seen the cuteness that is your kitty?

P.S.: Speaking as someone who works with kids, children can sometimes be highly over-rated.

Dude, my Mum adores Rogue. She had a dream she was buying a dummy for her. LOL! (That's a pacifier, I don't know if they call them dummies in America).

I've become a bit clucky lately and I'm not sure if its just kitty clucky or baby clucky. One thing is for sure, I'll get the kitty way before the baby! Kitties are cuter. Stoopid body clock!
