Real one, too. Very scary!

Be sure to click on the other link at the top when you're done with the guy's story. That one gave me fucking chills.

Dude, that is freaky shit man. I don't believe in ghosts for the most part, but I do wonder sometimes. This is definitely one of those times.

Yeah, this is one of those instances where I say to people "Okay, refute that!" Cause it's not just the one guy. It's many different people, it's a whole community of people who swear to it. My sister saw the ghost. She went to the second floor, and saw a spectre of a woman there (like the woman described). The woman turned to her, looked absolutely enraged, then stormed towards Helen. Helen (my sister) screamed and ran down the stairs She could feel a force pushing behind her.

I knew that story before I read these ones, and when I read these ones, I thought, "Wow. My sister Helen got off lightly!"

I want to go there. See what I can do. Maybe stop it...
On the other hand, I'd feel guilty removing something inexplicable like that.

It's in private hands, presently, so no one can go inside.

There's a reason the spirit is staying there. Maybe someone can find out who it is or something?

From the sounds of it, that may not be that helpful. Sounds like the place needs to be defused before you could try anything.

Well, there's a lot of negative and angry energy there, that's for damned sure. I wouldn't go there. :(

Thinking it may have been a shadow they switched on the light but it was not a shadow, rather it appeared as a small cloud of dark vapour which slowly dissolved as they watched.
...that is really not a good thing.

Actually that's a general poltergeist thing. It definitely sounds like one - and after my brushes with various ghosties I did some major research on the subject. Only poltergeists can do physical damage and they only ever become that strong when something extremely bad has happened to cause their death or leading up to it. :(

We had an old lady ghost in one of the places we stayed in. I never talked about it while I was there but after we moved Mum agreed that going downstairs at night wasn't a good thing. Also when my aunt and uncle were living down there they felt something 'otherwordly' there.
Found out from out then-neighbour that before the extensions (aka upstairs) were done and little old lady lived there. She just died and no one knew why - no autopsy was done or anything. The main bedroom down there always freaked me out and we all heard footsteps at night.
Not good.
I also kind of haunted 40 Beach St when I had a mishap with the ouija board ^^; but at least 'Joe' (as I so named him/her) was friendly - and kind of looked out for me :)

Hehe - I went through a phase. Besides, poltergeists haunt the place of their demise and with only one person (a teenager at the time) I didn't have enough 'spirit energy' to bring anything more than a basic spirit through.

http://www.ghoststudy.com/types.html might be of interest to you.

And yeah, totally! Actually, Fingal (where I first grew up) was pretty prone to the odd spirit here and there too.

I found out through both Mum and my grandparents (after they saw a psychic here in Brisbane a few years back) that Mum, Sarah and I all have a higher level of psychic abilities - each with our own specialty. Sarah, for some reason, got more ESP than Mum or I but because she doesn't believe it's like she's closed the door on it or something. Hmmm...

Oh, one more note on poltergeists - they aren't like normal ghosts or spirits. G + S feed on spirit and psychic energy so if you ignore it they can just about disappear or at least lose their power. Poltergeists have enough hate and anger to sustain themselves. best to steer clear ;)

I'd never go there, that's for damned sure!

Our family are very in tune with each other and with the world around us. Helen can do psychometry, you know, where you hold an object and see stuff? (I've probably got the word wrong, I'm a bit high atm). I can see the back of cards. It's the one thing I do very well. I don't know WHY, it's such a silly thing to be able to do. LOL. Tina and Lisa can pick up on your thoughts really well. :)

LOL. Not sure what Sarah has exactly because, well, she never allows it.
Mum is big on intuition. Actually, when Mum and I went to Manly for our first visit we both kind of stopped on our way walking to Wynnum and I said 'we aren't allowed down there yet'. Mum was about to tell me the same thing :) Was quite awesome having that feeling after so long and it being confirmed.
I know that I'm more in tune with 'the dead' and other people. I always put it down to empathy and such but apparently I just need to focus more.
Now I want to get the ouija board out (but I'm still a little freaked from the 'matron' story! eeeech)

Well yeah but that's half the allure of it :D And if you break any of the 'rules' it just pisses the 'gatekeepers' off :/ Will NEVER do ouija with friends again... EVER. *shudder*

Sure. I'm not busy, I'm not doing anything. The only thing is, I'm going to be in a lot of pain till I get the endo cut out and I go on some sort of treatment afterwards to prevent it growing back, so I'm probably not going to be heaps of fun. It also means I can't go walking about and catching trains and buses places. I'm pretty much stuck here or being driven somewhere. :T I know it's a drag but I really have felt terrible lately. I'm sick nearly every day.

I'd still love to catch up though, I miss my friends. :,(

I actually remember you telling me about that YEARS ago. So this is that place. Remembering that story from you was what made reading that guy's tale so incredibly freaky.

I think the crying was actually the scariest part for me. Not to say that seeing a face at the window wouldn't send me into a case of the screaming mimis, but the way that crying was described was just AWFUL.
