Headache... what a party.
Jan. 15th, 2006 03:09 pmHey all.
Well, Tina's engagement party was a hoot. Me and my sister Cati decided that we're never letting Tom plan the music for parties where we want to dance again. Sorry, Tom. And this includes the Wedding. No music planning for you. We want daggy retro music that's fun to dance to! *hugs the Tom*. I'm surprised I survived the night in the good mood I was in. There are those that'll know why *wink*. My sister and Thomas and Brad helped with that a lot. And my niece Emerald - God she cracks me up! *laughs*
Tina looked absolutely gorgeous, but the poor babby was sick. Stupid sore tummy. We're both in the dumps with sore guts lately! She was a real champion, though. Made it through the night! Walter was an absolute crack-up. He's like - my Dad when my Dad is drunk. That's the only time my Dad is that jolly and loud.
I did a shoulder muscle when dancing to Lust for Life, and I over-exerted myself cause I nearly fainted on the dance floor. Tina was all, "OMG you didn't drink too much?" No. I had ONE Bacardi Breezer. It's just this stupid possible endo forbids me from having anything close to RESEMBLING a life. Fucking shit.
I ended up sleeping in SO LATE today, even though I went to bed at something like 2:30, which I sometimes go to bed at that time anyway. Weird. Woke up horny. That was odd. Could be the dreams I had. I don't remember them but they were incredibly involved stories.
Oh - news. I got into TAFE again! Whee! I'm very relieved! It's Cert III, which is good cause I passed most of my units in first semester (I left one thing in Copyright unfinished) and I need the first four months of this year to be in pain because of and recover from this gut thing/endo. Whichever it is. I'll find out!
Yes. I'm having a laparoscopy (surgery) on the 28th of March. I am fucking shitting myself. But I figure it's all for the best, right? Right.
Apparently Geoff (the other half of Hallucigenia) has set up a bit of a vocal booth in his studio at his house. He's also got a pretty sweet mic there too, so the next few recordings for our songs will be effing awesome! Yay! Damn the torpedoes, FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Geoff did some ampoule recording with the setup today, and apparently it absolutely rocked, really good sound. Can't wait to hear what you can do with it.
The vocal booth is, well, functional but looks like a childs cubby house. The mic is very sweet indeed. And my audio I/O box seems to do the job nicely.
Yay for you being in TAFE again.

Just wondering, not all your nieces are named after gems, right? I don't mean that in a bad way.

Date: 2006-01-16 12:13 am (UTC)Though, while Tom and I will be organising the tunes I think I'll let other people request stuff. So the dags can have a bit of their music and so can the oldies.
