Hey all.

Well, Tina's engagement party was a hoot. Me and my sister Cati decided that we're never letting Tom plan the music for parties where we want to dance again. Sorry, Tom. And this includes the Wedding. No music planning for you. We want daggy retro music that's fun to dance to! *hugs the Tom*. I'm surprised I survived the night in the good mood I was in. There are those that'll know why *wink*. My sister and Thomas and Brad helped with that a lot. And my niece Emerald - God she cracks me up! *laughs*

Tina looked absolutely gorgeous, but the poor babby was sick. Stupid sore tummy. We're both in the dumps with sore guts lately! She was a real champion, though. Made it through the night! Walter was an absolute crack-up. He's like - my Dad when my Dad is drunk. That's the only time my Dad is that jolly and loud.

I did a shoulder muscle when dancing to Lust for Life, and I over-exerted myself cause I nearly fainted on the dance floor. Tina was all, "OMG you didn't drink too much?" No. I had ONE Bacardi Breezer. It's just this stupid possible endo forbids me from having anything close to RESEMBLING a life. Fucking shit.

I ended up sleeping in SO LATE today, even though I went to bed at something like 2:30, which I sometimes go to bed at that time anyway. Weird. Woke up horny. That was odd. Could be the dreams I had. I don't remember them but they were incredibly involved stories.

Oh - news. I got into TAFE again! Whee! I'm very relieved! It's Cert III, which is good cause I passed most of my units in first semester (I left one thing in Copyright unfinished) and I need the first four months of this year to be in pain because of and recover from this gut thing/endo. Whichever it is. I'll find out!

Yes. I'm having a laparoscopy (surgery) on the 28th of March. I am fucking shitting myself. But I figure it's all for the best, right? Right.

Apparently Geoff (the other half of Hallucigenia) has set up a bit of a vocal booth in his studio at his house. He's also got a pretty sweet mic there too, so the next few recordings for our songs will be effing awesome! Yay! Damn the torpedoes, FULL STEAM AHEAD!

All the best for the op Nancy! Hope these are the end of endo woes for your good self. It'll probably take you about a week until you can do normal stuff like work or school, and another month until you feel 100%, so sleep lots and watch plenty of good movies. Just no Black Books because you don't want to split your stitches. I learned that the hard way. I haven't forgotten your advice before I had my op, so I'll be sending good vibes your way come March. *hug*

It will be good for you to be able to rule endometriosis in or out, and get treatment for it if it is confirmed.

Also, definitely, don't let Tom choose the music (at least without some controls).

Noise is fine to sit around to, if that's your thing, but it's not "party" music.

Yay for great party! Yay for Tom and Tina!

The op will be for the best. Its scary, but it will be fine.

Geoff did some ampoule recording with the setup today, and apparently it absolutely rocked, really good sound. Can't wait to hear what you can do with it.
The vocal booth is, well, functional but looks like a childs cubby house. The mic is very sweet indeed. And my audio I/O box seems to do the job nicely.

Yay for you being in TAFE again.

I like cubby-houses. Sounds like the studio combines two things I love. Music and miniature houses made of blankets. YAY!

Yeah, and the Who never got to record in a cubby house, did they? Or the Beatles! Or-or-or Dusty Springfield. Or David Bowie. Not even Freddie Mercury. We're *that* special.

Congrats on getting into TAFE again, Nancy! :D

And hope the surgery goes well. :)

And my niece Emerald - God she cracks me up! *laughs*

Just wondering, not all your nieces are named after gems, right? I don't mean that in a bad way.

Hey, I saw you (and Cati) dancing! So it can't of been all that bad. And like you have a saw who plans the music at *our* wedding ;P

Though, while Tom and I will be organising the tunes I think I'll let other people request stuff. So the dags can have a bit of their music and so can the oldies.

Oh, and the "I'm surprised I survived the night in the good mood I was in" was actually pertaining to someone else at the party. Has nothing to do with the music. I should have made that clear!! I'm sorry!
